Pures Storage has taken advantage of the Kubecon event to launch Portworx Enterprise 3.3a new version of this container data management platform with which expands its availability to Kubernetes and Kubevirt.
From now on, Pureage Portworx offers its services and functions specially designed for kubernetes, offering its scalability, automation and self -service capabilities to withstand the elasticity and continuous change of native cloud applications also for this container orchestration platform. Also for Kubevirt, a project that allows to execute, implement and manage virtual machines with kubernettes as an organization platform.
ENTPRISE 3.3 It also offers news in cost efficiency and greater simplification of data storage for equipment that work with virtual machines and containers in kubernetes. Now it allows to implement a single workflow for applications, without depending on various tools or processes. In addition, its independence approach with respect to the underlying storage implies that storage equipment and platforms can implement this solution both in Pure Storage and outside, as well as in mixed infrastructure environments.
With Portworx Enterprise 3.3, Pure Storage offers companies the opportunity to work with virtual machines on scale with a unified data storage management. It also offers different integrations, and will feature RWX Block for Kubevirt machines that are executed in Flasharray or other storage suppliers. Thanks to the latter, it offers high performance capabilities in reading, writing and storage for virtual machines in kubernetes.
Its users may also manage their data from a single management plane, including recovery against synchronized disasters for virtual machines that are executed in Kubernetes without loss of data. PortWorx 3.3 also supports backup copies at the file level for Linux virtual machines, allowing more largely in backup copies and restorations of virtual machines in kubernetes.
Customers can also take advantage of the reference architecture and Integrations with Kubevirt platforms from SUSE, Spectro Cloud and Kubermaticin addition to the already existing association of Portworx with Red Hat.
