Raising $6.1M in seed funding, Airrived says agentic AI’s breakthrough moment has arrived – News

Agentic artificial intelligence startup Airrived has arrived on the scene to help enterprises transform AI agents into the “foundational infrastructure” of their business operations after raising $6.1 million in seed funding.

Today’s round was led by Cannage Capital and saw participation from Plug and Play Ventures, Rebellion Ventures, Inner Loop Capital and angel investors such as Manoj Apte, Mahendra Ramsinghani and Saqib E. Awan.

Airrived says it wants to change the game for agentic AI, which has so far proven to be exceedingly difficult for many enterprises to implement properly. The startup says organizations struggle with AI agents because they usually try to bolt them onto legacy software platforms that weren’t designed for that level of automation.

The result is that AI is really only able to summarize things rather than make decisions and take actions, with very little actual automation going on. When things can be automated, humans are still very much in the mix, acting as the connective glue that stitches together the various systems AI agents use.

The startup says its approach to agentic AI is quite different. It has created an operating layer called Agentic OS that’s designed to make agentic intelligence a native capability instead of something that’s bolted on top of existing platforms. The platform enables organizations to fine-tune third-party large language models and use them to compose deep-reasoning agents that can be orchestrated across any system, without extensive AI engineering expertise required. With Agentic OS, critical enterprise domains including security operations centers, identity access management and governance, risk management and compliance are unified within a single system to ensure that every AI agent operates within defined rules.

Airrived co-founder and Chief Executive Anurag Gurtu said his company’s AI agents are purpose built for production and will enable organizations to quickly transition away from AI that simply observes to automated systems that can reason, make decisions and take actions without human supervision. “Enterprises… need a new foundation,” he said. “Airrived represents arrival, or the moment agentic intelligence becomes native to the enterprise.”

Despite operating in “stealth mode” until today, Airrived has already helped a number of large enterprises roll out agentic automation, including a Fortune 150 insurance firm, a global bank, a major telecommunications infrastructure company and one of the largest fast-casual restaurant chains in the U.S. According to Gurtu, these early deployments validate Agentic OS’s ability to operate at scale in complex, high-volume environments where speed, reliability and governance are all vital considerations.

Cannage Capital Managing Partner Shelley Jhuang said she investing in Airrived because of its agentic-first architecture. “This isn’t automation or scripted playbooks, it’s a composable agentic platform designed to scale across use cases.”
