THE LEGENDARY Mickey Mantle’s game-worn signed jersey is being auctioned off, and there’s still time to grab it if you’re willing to cough up more than $130,000.
The New York Yankees icon wore the jersey during two of his prime years during his Hall of Fame baseball career.

Mantle was a legendary Yankees player who played with the historic MLB franchise from 1951 to 1968.
He’s regarded as one of the best players of all time, winning an incredible seven World Series and being a three-time American League MVP.
Mantle was arguably the face of 1950s baseball and is undoubtedly one of the most important athletes in the collecting community.
And his game-used artifact can now be purchased.
Goldin.com is offering an exclusive Yankees jersey that was worn by Mantle during the 1959-60 seasons.
The jersey is part of an online auction, and the current bid is $140,000.
The starting bid was at $100,000.
The rare, game-used jersey has been authenticated by multiple trusted services.
And the late Mantle, himself, signed it.
Time is running out, however, as the bidding will end on Sunday, June 22, at 10:00 pm ET.
While Mantle didn’t win a World Series in either of the campaigns in which he wore the jersey, he did hit an AL-leading 40 home runs in the 1960 season.
Across the two seasons, he hit .280 with 71 home runs.
Mantle came close to winning a World Series in 1960, but his Yankees lost a heartbreaking Game 7 to the Pittsburgh Pirates thanks to Bill Mazeroski’s iconic walk-off home run.
The then-29-year-old wore the jersey at the time, and one lucky memorabilia-crazed baseball fan can buy it.
The game-worn item “features heavy wear, original tagging, and restored identifiers,” Goldin.com says.

And technology has allowed collectors to know that game-worn material items are, in fact, real.
Resolution Photomatching came up with conclusive identification of the jersey to an April 11, 1960, photograph, where Mantle can be seen alongside fellow Hall of Famer and baseball icon Ted Williams.
The pair were at batting practice before a spring exhibition game between the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, who ended up winning by a score of 3-1.
As crazy as it seems, other Mantle memorabilia have been auctioned for much more money.
In 2022, a Mantle 1952 Topps baseball card was sold for $12.6 million.
And a game-worn jersey was bought for $4.68 million in the 2023 summer.
