And Duran is apparently a handy car mechanic.
In episode two of The Clubhouse, which debuted on Netflix on April 8, he was left with a dilemma.
Duran drives a retro Ford Bronco jeep which broke down outside Fenway Park.
He just finished signing autographs for fans late at night.
The outfielder then climbed into his jeep to try and head home.
But the car wouldn’t start, much to his disappointment.
Red Sox teammate Triston Casas arrived on the scene in an attempt to help Duran.
He tried calling what he thought was a breakdown company – but it turned out to be a limousine service.
In the hilarious trailer, Casas implored Duran not to try and fix the car himself.
“Those are $100 million hands,” he was heard saying.
Casas told Duran, “I don’t want you sticking your hands in that.”
The 28-year-old Duran appeared to laugh off Casas’ concern.
“I do this all the time,” he said after pulling out a booklet from his trunk.
Duran was also on the phone and getting assistance from the person on the other end.
He was then seen hammering something in the bonnet, much to Casas’ horror.
“Come on, stop playing with that,” Casas implored.
“That looks complicated man – I wouldn’t be sticking my fingers in that.
“There’s specialists for that. We play baseball. We don’t fix cars JD.”
Duran managed to get the car up and running again.
The 28-year-old also revealed to Netflix cameras that he tried to take his own life after the struggles of 2021 and 2022.
He was praised for speaking up about mental health.
