In the latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman outlined that Apple retail employees are being asked to prepare for an overnight refresh on the evening of November 11th, signaling potential store changes on November 12th – though they might be minor ones.

Leading into October, many expected M5 to debut in the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro, as well as a new refresh to Apple TV and HomePod mini. The latter half never arrived, and we don’t quite know when they will.

As highlighted by Mark Gurman, it’s rather unlikely that Apple will debut new products before year’s end, given Tim Cook’s comment on last weeks earnings call:

We are excited to be sharing our most extraordinary lineup of products as we head into the holiday season.

That said, one could also argue that Apple TV and HomePod mini are likely insignificant contributors to Apple’s earnings results, unlike MacBook and iPad models.

Upcoming Apple Store refresh

Heading into Wednesday, November 12th, Apple will have something new to show at Apple Stores. This doesn’t necessarily mean that it’ll be new products, and given the timing, it’s arguably more likely that stores will merely be receiving a visual refresh for the holidays.

Despite that, he also outlines that Apple TV and HomePod mini are facing inventory shortages, and that both products were slated for launch before the end of 2025. This could potentially indicate a refresh:

A shrinking stockpile can often signal that new versions are getting close to release. If those refreshed models don’t arrive before year’s end, they still shouldn’t be far off — especially since they’ll help showcase the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features planned for next year.

All in all, it doesn’t necessarily seem likely that Apple TV and HomePod mini will launch before the end of the year. If they do though, November 12th may be the date that they hit stores. Only time will tell, though.
