Rootstock Software launched its Spring ’25 Release on April 2. This significant update is focused on enhancing user experience, integrating AI-powered features, and bolstering manufacturers’ financial capabilities. The Release aims to provide greater speed, visibility, and control across the enterprise.
A key highlight is the comprehensive UX uplift, which will initially roll out across 200 Lightning record pages. This redesign prioritizes clarity, efficiency, consistency, and usability, promising faster data entry, fewer clicks, and adaptable layouts. The initiative includes cleaner layouts, tabbed navigation, direct form editing, smart KPIs, and simplified screen flows. Together, these features reduce training time and boost productivity.
“The Spring ’25 Release represents a foundational shift in the modern ERP experience,” stated Raj Badarinath, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at Rootstock. He emphasized the collaborative effort with customers and the company’s vision for future innovations like AI agents and touchless capabilities.
The Spring ’25 Release also introduces new 360-degree pages, which offers a consolidated view of critical information like contacts, orders, pricing, and invoices. It eliminates the need for constant cross-navigation and enables faster, more informed decision-making. Moreover, real-time inventory synchronization with field service workflows provides technicians and dispatch teams with up-to-date stock information, streamlining service processes and ensuring accurate fulfillment.
Rootstock has continued integrating artificial intelligence (AI) by embedding its AIRS engine into Quick Entry and Quick Order screens in the new Release. AIRS intelligently recommends products by analyzing customer history, accelerating order building, and improving accuracy. Financial enhancements include:
- A redesigned PO/AP Match Workbench
- The ability to save custom report filters in Rootstock Financial Analytics
- Greater control over posting periods
The company has also made operational improvements with the new Release. They include DRP support for alternate items and the automatic transfer of notes from requisitions to purchase orders.
The Spring ’25 Release is available now, with UX uplift components rolling out throughout 2025.
What This Means for ERP Insiders
The UX uplift in Rootstock’s new Release translates to a more intuitive workflow. Imagine a sales order entry clerk who can now navigate customer information, product details, and pricing within a cleaner, tabbed interface, reducing the time spent switching between screens and minimizing data entry errors. All these possibilities are now available in Rootstock’s new Release, leading to faster order processing and improved customer satisfaction.
The new 360-degree pages provide a holistic view of critical business data. Organizations looking at faster decision-making abilities can utilize this feature in the latest Release to get a holistic view of critical business data. For example, A production manager can now quickly access a complete overview of a specific customer order, including its production status, associated inventory levels, and invoicing details, all on a single screen. This enhanced visibility enables quicker identification of potential issues, faster decision-making regarding resource allocation, and proactive communication with the customer.
Integration of AI in Quick Entry and Quick Orders optimizes key operational processes. A field service technician can now see the exact, up-to-the-minute inventory levels of necessary parts before heading to a customer site with the real-time inventory sync with Field Service. This prevents wasted trips due to unavailable parts, improves first-time fix rates, and enhances overall service efficiency. Simultaneously, the AI-powered recommendations in Quick Order can help sales teams anticipate customer needs and suggest relevant products, leading to increased sales and stronger customer relationships.
