Alongside its latest foldable Galaxy smartphones, Samsung has announced a purchase scheme to encourage customers to take a chance on one of the new handsets.

If you’ve ever considered buying a foldable handset but aren’t sure how well it would actually perform in everyday life, then Samsung’s Buy and Try scheme is one for you.

We explain everything you need to know about Samsung’s Buy and Try scheme, including how it works and which devices are eligible.

If you decide you like the idea of Samsung’s Buy and Try system, but aren’t sure which foldable you should go for, our Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Flip 7 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 7 guides will help.

What is Buy and Try?

Hailed by Samsung as one of its “most compelling customer promises to date”, Buy and Try allows customers to order one of the new Galaxy Z foldables with a massive 100-day return window. This is the longest return promotion that’s ever been offered on a Galaxy device.

Buy and Try allows customers more time to completely test the phone before deciding whether or not they want to keep it. If users decide between 45 to 100 days after purchase that the foldable isn’t for them, then they can complete a claim to receive 100% of the purchase price paid.

There are, of course, a few caveats to keep in mind. Firstly, this offer is limited to one claim per individual and two per household/business and the device must remain in good condition to receive the full refund. Customers must also follow the necessary steps to ensure they are eligible for the scheme, which we’ve detailed below.

Which phones are eligible for Buy and Try?

At the time of writing, only Samsung’s recently launched foldables are eligible for its Buy and Try scheme. These handsets include:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE

How do I sign up for Buy and Try?

Customers have until Tuesday 19th August 2025 to pre-order or purchase a SIM-free Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 or Z Flip 7 FE either in-store or online. Once you’ve made your order, you’ll then have 30 days to register the purchase through samsungoffers.claims/ukbuyandtry.

If you’re not happy with the foldable, you can then return the device to Samsung from 45 up to 100 days after the purchase date. Keep in mind that if you pre-ordered the handset, then you’ll have up to 100 days to return your device from its delivery date.
