Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is already making news ahead of the official launch early next year. The lineup is expected to include three models – the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. While nothing has been confirmed yet, a new report suggests that the series could pack Samsung’s next-generation Exynos 2600 chipset. Galaxy S26 Series To Launch With Exynos 2600?

According to Korean outlet FNN News, Samsung has completed the development of the Exynos 2600 and plans to begin mass production before the month ends. What makes this chip special is that it’s Samsung’s first processor built on the advanced 2nm gate-all-around (GAA) process. Insiders say this could give Samsung a competitive edge in the global semiconductor market if performance validation goes as expected. news Also Read: Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Arrives In India With Special Storage Upgrade Offer: Check Price, Specs, Features

Early reports claim the Exynos 2600 outperforms the predecessor Exynos 2500 in power efficiency and thermal control. Samsung is reportedly integrating a new Heat Pass Block (HPB) solution, which could keep devices cooler under heavy loads. news Also Read: Vivo X300 Series To Take On iPhone 17 With AirDrop-Style Tool For Cross-Platform Sharing

Benchmark Performance

The Exynos 2600 chip is said to have scored 3,309 points in single-core and 11,256 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench benchmarking platform. These numbers put it very close to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which reportedly scored 3,393 and 11,515 in similar tests.

What to Expect in the Galaxy S26 Series

According to the report, the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge may run on Exynos 2600 chip, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra could pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. This suggests Samsung could continue its dual-chip strategy – selling Exynos-powered models in select regions and Snapdragon devices in others.

If true, the Galaxy S26 lineup could mark a strong comeback for Samsung’s in-house chip business while also setting the stage for a direct showdown with Qualcomm’s best.
