The leaks related to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 have been doing the rounds of the internet for a long time now. And this time, the latest piece of information has revealed the processor that we are going to see in the upcoming clamshell by Samsung. In a report published by the South Korean publication Chosun Ilbo, it has been revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by Samsung Exynos 2500 processor.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 processor details
Now, there are going to be a lot of limitations for Samsung to achieve this. First things first, the company will be supposed to manage the production rate of 3nm architecture on which the Exynos 2500 processor will be based. Previously, there were rumors that the processor would be included in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
However, the leak has been thrown out of the window with the latest ones claiming the Galaxy S25 series will carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The reason behind the exclusion, as stated by a senior Samsung official, is that the mass production of Exynos 2500 chipset would be a tough nut to crack for the brand.
Currently, it is in the air that the yield process for the 3nm architecture has been sorted and the mass production of the same will kick off soon. The official also mentioned that the company will be using the in-house processors in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. This report also puts a stamp on a previous report that suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the Exynos 2500 processor.
As of now, there is no mention of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Previous Fold variants have reached the market with the Snapdragon SoCs and we can expect to see the same in the next generation Fold device as well. Nonetheless, until Samsung confirms something officially, readers are suggested to take the information with a truckload of salt.
