Samsung has recently launched its latest foldable smartphones — the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — in India. According to the company, these new devices saw a record 2.1 lakh pre-orders within the first 48 hours of launch. That’s nearly the same as the pre-orders received for the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, showing just how strong the demand is for Samsung’s seventh-generation foldables.
Samsung says it’s aiming to bring foldables into the mainstream, and these numbers are a big step in that direction. The company’s president for Southwest Asia, JB Park, believes that Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 offer a smarter, more intuitive way to engage with the world on the basis of their AI-powered features and fresh new designs. The new foldables run on Android 16 with Samsung’s latest One UI 8, which brings in powerful AI tools and better multitasking capabilities.
