SAMSUNG is giving away vacuum cleaners worth £1,199 to dozens of Brits in a cheeky stunt against major rival Dyson.

Dyson founder Sir James Dyson turned 78 today and to celebrate Samsung is offering their own vacuum cleaners for free.

Samsung claims the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is the world’s most powerful stick vacuum in the world, with 400W of suction power.

The gadget, which was launched at the end of March, comes with
two batteries so owners can clean their whole home non-stop for 160 minutes.

A large capacity battery works continuously for up to 100 minutes depending on the strength setting, while there’s also an inter-changeable secondary lightweight battery that will work for up to an hour.

The South Korean firm cheekily enlisted YouTuber Zac Alsop to gift Sir Dyson one of their own vacuums by turning up at their UK headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

But the stunt goes further by offering 78 customers a chance to grab a free Bespoke AI Jet Ultra this weekend.

From 11am on Saturday (May 3), the first 78 in the queue at Samsung’s main London store with a birthday card for Sir Dyson will be able to claim a free vacuum cleaner.

You’ll need to turn up at the Samsung KX store in Coal Drops Yard, London, near St Pancras International and Kings Cross stations.

In total, Samsung will be giving more than £90,000 worth.

Each person in the queue will need to be 18 or over and have ID.

And only one per household is allowed.

“At Samsung, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra isn’t just powerful, it’s the most powerful stick vacuum on the market,” said Tanya Weller, Marketing Director for Digital Appliances, Samsung Electronics UK&I.

“As well as power, it has intelligent features like AI Cleaning that detects each surface and adjusts the power accordingly, alongside being one of the lightest yet.”
