Samsung just couldn’t resist taking another playful jab at Apple. In its latest social media campaign, the company is mocking the iPhone for still being a plain, flat device while showing off its own foldable innovation. The timing isn’t random either – the ad arrives just days before Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series, making it feel like Samsung wanted to steal a bit of that spotlight.

Foldables vs. the “Same Old” iPhone

In the ad, Samsung proudly highlights the Galaxy Z Fold 7, contrasting it with Apple’s iPhone, which has stuck to the same rectangular slab design for years. Samsung’s point is simple: foldables are the future, and it has been shaping that future for a while. Apple, meanwhile, is still sitting out. According to reports, fans may need to wait until late 2026 before Apple finally releases its first foldable iPhone.

Galaxy AI Takes the Stage

Samsung didn’t stop at foldables. The company also took a dig at Apple’s artificial intelligence rollout. While iPhone users recently got features like Image Playground, Samsung claims its Galaxy AI platform is far more versatile. One feature that grabbed attention in the campaign was “Sketch to Image,” a tool that can turn rough doodles into full-fledged AI-generated visuals. It’s a clever way for Samsung to show that it’s not just experimenting with AI but building tools people might actually use day to day.

A Familiar Marketing Strategy

This isn’t new territory for Samsung. Over the years, it has mocked Apple over headphone jacks, missing chargers, and even notch designs. Some people see it as cheeky fun, while others think it’s petty – but one thing’s clear: the strategy always gets people talking.

The Rivalry Stays Spicy

The funniest twist? Apple’s rumored foldable may end up using Samsung Display panels. So, while Samsung teases Apple for being late to the party, it could also play a crucial role in making Apple’s first foldable iPhone possible. Until then, Samsung has bragging rights in both foldable phones and AI – and it’s clearly enjoying every bit of it.
