Samsung has officially begun teasing the Exynos 2600, confirming the flagship chipset’s existence after weeks of widespread leaks and speculation.

Its short promo video marks the company’s first public acknowledgement of its next-gen silicon, and strongly hints that the chip will arrive ahead of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.

The teaser opens with a surprisingly reflective tone as Samsung appears to address long-standing criticism of its Exynos line with the message “in silence, we listened,” followed by phrases such as “refined at the core” and “optimised at every level.”

It’s a rare, direct nod to the mixed reception of earlier Exynos generations, even at the flagship level, which often struggled to match the efficiency and thermals of their Snapdragon counterparts.

What Samsung is promising this time around, however, looks significantly more ambitious. The Exynos 2600 is expected to be the first 2nm smartphone chipset to reach the market, positioning Samsung ahead of Qualcomm and MediaTek in the semiconductor race.

Early benchmark leaks suggest the chip is capable of trading punches with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 found in the likes of the OnePlus 15, potentially putting Samsung back in contention in the high-end performance landscape.

Set to debut with the Galaxy S26 — but not everywhere

Aside from the past year, Samsung’s flagship phones tend to follow a dual-chip strategy, and all signs point toward the Galaxy S26 continuing that pattern.

Exynos variants typically ship in Europe and parts of Asia, while Snapdragon models dominate markets like North America. Based on Samsung’s launch history and the timing of today’s teaser, the Exynos 2600 is positioned to lead the European Galaxy S26 lineup when the series arrives next year.

If Samsung delivers on its promises, the Exynos 2600 could mark the company’s most dramatic generational jump in years — not just in performance, but in public confidence. With the Galaxy S26 reveal getting closer, Samsung is clearly preparing its next flagship chip to reclaim ground in the premium Android space.

More official details are expected as Samsung ramps up its launch announcements in the months ahead.
