Samsung is closing out the year with a flurry of product news. After announcing new speakers and Google Photos support for its TVs, the company has now introduced the budget-friendly Galaxy A17 5G and the Galaxy Tab A11+, which launch next month in the US.
Galaxy A17 5G
The Galaxy A17 5G succeeds the Galaxy A16 5G, which was the best-selling Android smartphone last quarter. The two phones have many similarities, but the A17 has some AI perks, including support for Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini chatbot.

The Galaxy A17 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with Samsung’s Exynos 1330 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card. There’s a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging and can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes, Samsung says.
The camera setup hasn’t changed from the A16. The front-facing camera uses a 13MP sensor, while the rear system has 50MP, 5MP, and 2MP sensors.
The Galaxy A17 will be available on Jan. 7 in the US in black, blue, and gray, starting at $199.99.

The Galaxy Tab A11+, meanwhile, comes with an 11-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs a MediaTek MT8775 processor and comes in two variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Storage here can also be expanded to 2TB with a microSD card.
The Tab A11+ packs a large 7,040mAh battery that Samsung says can deliver all-day use, along with support for 25W fast charging. The tablet also has quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 5MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP rear camera with autofocus.
Like the A17, this tablet also supports Circle to Search and the Gemini assistant. The former is arriving on an A series tab for the first time.
When it comes to software, both the A17 and the Tab A11+ come with Android 16 out of the box. The A17 will receive six years of OS and security updates, while the tab will reportedly receive seven.
The Galaxy Tab A11+ launches on Jan. 8 in gray and silver, starting at $249.99.
