Samsung is updating its Freestyle portable projector with a brighter, AI-powered Freestyle+ model at CES 2026.

The Freestlye+’s key highlight is the AI OptiScreen, a screen optimization technology that automatically adjusts the picture quality based on different settings. It’s part of a suite of features that include 3D Auto Keystone, Real-time Focus, Screen Fit, and Wall Calibration.

3D Auto Keystone automatically corrects distortion when projecting to uneven surfaces, such as curtains or angled walls. Real-time focus reduces blurring or visual noise when the projector moves or rotates. Wall Calibration, on the other hand, detects the color or pattern of the surface to decrease visual distractions, while Screen Fit automatically adjusts the screen ratio while using a projector screen accessory.

Freestyle+ also supports Vision AI Companion, Samsung’s conversational AI features for TVs, which allows you to summon Bixby and ask questions about on-screen content.

Another standout feature of the Freestyle+ is its brightness. With 430 ISO Lumens, it is twice as bright as the previous model, the company claims. Samsung didn’t reveal the maximum resolution or screen size supported by the Freestyle+, but the previous version supported a max resolution of 1080p, with a projection size range of 30 to 100 inches.

When it comes to sound, the Freestlye+ has a built-in 360-degree speaker. With support for Q-Symphony, you can also connect the projector to compatible Samsung soundbars in the room.

For easier viewing, the projector provides built-in access to partnering streaming apps and Samsung TV Plus, the company’s free ad-supported streaming service for news, sports, entertainment, and more. You’ll also get built-in support for Samsung Gaming Hub.

Samsung didn’t announce pricing, but said it will start a phased rollout in the first half of the year. If you’re in Las Vegas for CES, you can check out the Freestyle+ at Samsung’s booth.
