I enjoy reading books on my Kindle e-reader, but I love reading free books even more. Ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event on October 7, the e-commerce giant is offering an opportunity to do just that.
Currently, Amazon is offering Prime members a three-month subscription to Kindle Unlimited for free. The subscription usually costs $12 a month, so in total you’re saving $36 over the course of three months.
If you’re not familiar with Kindle Unlimited, it’s a subscription service offered by Amazon that lets you access millions of ebooks and thousands of audiobooks. If you don’t have much to read in your Kindle library at the moment, Kindle Unlimited can solve that problem very quickly.
The offer for three months of Kindle Unlimited for free is only available for Prime members. Additionally, you can only claim the deal if you’re not currently subscribed to Kindle Unlimited. You can check out the deal below.
What kind of books does Kindle Unlimited have?
You can use Kindle Unlimited on the Kindle app, not just Kindle e-readers
If you’re wondering what Kindle Unlimited’s selection of books is like, it’s extremely wide-ranging. There are romance novels, manga and comics, mysteries and thrillers, biographies, science fiction, history, and so much more. Consider it like the Netflix of ebooks. There’s something for everyone, and with over four million ebooks available, there’s a good chance you’ll find something that catches your eye. If you want to browse all the books available through Kindle Unlimited, you can do so here.
If you do decide to take advantage of this offer of three months of Kindle Unlimited for free, just remember that at the end of the three months, your subscription will automatically renew, meaning you’ll be charged $12 for the monthly subscription for Kindle Unlimited. I’d recommend setting a reminder on your phone sometime near the end of the free trial to decide whether to keep it or not.
Finally, one other important thing worth noting about Kindle Unlimited is that, if you don’t have a physical Kindle device, you can still take advantage of the subscription service’s offerings through the Kindle app on iOS and Android. So, if you’d like, you can easily read any of the books on your phone or tablet.
Prime members can enjoy three months of Kindle Unlimited for free for a limited time. Just remember, you can’t claim it if you’re already subscribed to the service. This offer is part of the early-bird deals Amazon is offering ahead of its Prime Big Deals Days event, which returns on October 7.
