For months, Sanders was expected to be a top pick in the NFL Draft.
However, his stock slowly started to slip as the draft got closer.
By the time draft day hit, Sanders was expected to be drafted around No. 20.
His name was never called though, and Sanders went into day two hoping to find his next team.

Day two didn’t bring any better news for Sanders though, as teams continued to pass on him.
Three more quarterbacks were picked during day two of the draft, with Tyler Shough heading to the New Orleans Saints at No. 40 out of Louisville.
In the third round, Jalen Milroe was drafted to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 92 out of Alabama and Dillon Gabriel was drafted to the Cleveland Browns at No. 94.
As each round in the draft passes, Sanders loses more and more money on his rookie contract.
He also loses the ability for his next team to put a fifth-year option on his rookie contract.
Sanders will make between $4 to $5 million on his rookie deal based on where he is picked in the fourth round.
The lowest value rookie contract in the 2025 NFL Draft is $4.3 million.
If Sanders was picked in the top three picks he would have made over $45 million.
Had he been selected around No. 20 like expected in round one, he still would have earned $18 million.
At this point, Sanders would have made more money from his NIL deals if he was able to remain in college football.
He is out of college eligibility though, so for now he will continue to wait for an NFL team to take a chance on him.
