Design
At first glance, it is difficult to distinguish the two tablets: the Galaxy Tab S10 Fe and the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite adopt exactly the same aesthetic language, with a glass facade, an aluminum back and a neat aluminum frame.
The dimensions are also very similar, with 254.3 mm long and 165.8 mm wide for both models. The only differences are in terms of thickness and weight: paradoxically, the Lite version is slightly thicker (6.6 mm against 6 mm) and heavier (524 g against 497 g). But this is an almost negligible difference in practice.
Screen
The two devices have a 10.9 inch panel refreshing at 90 Hz. The underlying technology, on the other hand, is different. Where the TAB S10 FE benefits from an IPS LCD screen with a higher resolution (1440 X 2304), the Lite version must be satisfied with a slightly lower definition (1320 x 2112) and especially a TFT LCD slab, less generous in terms of colors, contrast and vision angles.
In practice, the rendering will therefore be significantly finer and pleasant on the FE version.
SOC and performance
The Galaxy Tab S10 Fe has a SOC Exynos 1580a more recent and better optimized chip for productivity and multitasking. It should offer a significant gain in terms of raw power and energy efficiency.
The Tab S10 Lite, for its part, is satisfied with theExynos 1380a well -referenced but less efficient mid -range SOC on heavy loads.
In common use (navigation, streaming, light applications), the two models will do the trick. But for more demanding tasks (3D games, photo editing, intensive multitasking, etc.), the FE version will have a clear advantage.
Memory
The two models are equal in terms of storage, with 128 or 256 GB versions with a microSD slot to extend the capacity. On the other hand, the TAB S10 FE has a substantial advantage in terms of RAM, with 8 to 12 GB against only 6 to 8 GB on the Lite.
For light multimedia use (streaming, messaging, etc.), the difference will go unnoticed. On the other hand, lovers of games or creative applications will have every interest in favoring the FE model.
Photo
Unsurprisingly, the photo also reflects the gap between the two models. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is equipped with a 13 MP main sensor capable of filming in 4K at 30 FPS, as well as a 12 Mp front camera also 4K.
The TAB S10 Lite is limited to a main 8 MP sensor and a 5 MP front camera, both confined to Full HD (1080p at 30 FPS).
If you plan to use your tablet to capture some images or make video calls in optimal quality, the verdict is final: the FE model is essential.
Battery and recharge
The two tablets have an identical battery of 8000 mAh. On the other hand, the charging speed differs: 45 W for the FE against 25 W for the Lite. The first will therefore be operational much faster than the second, an appreciable asset for intensive users.
Connection
The two models are almost identical in this field: Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C port are there. But the FE version is distinguished by an additional magnetic connector and the presence of an NFC chip, two elements absent on the Lite.
Prix
The TAB S10 Lite is positioned very aggressively, from € 399.99, against € 559 for the TAB S10 FE.
Conclusion
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE imposes itself as a clearly higher -end tablet, with a better screen, a more efficient SoC, clearly higher photo capacities, faster recharge and more generous memory configurations.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, on the other hand, compensates with a significantly lower Price. This difference of more than 150 € is enough to justify the concessions, and makes it a completely relevant option for conventional daily use (navigation, streaming, light office).
