IF you’re paying for Sky telly then you might be missing out on free cinema tickets.

There’s a money-saving perk that’s bundled in with a popular type of Sky subscription.

It relies on you paying for Sky Cinema (currently available for £9 a month until April 23), the TV package that unlocks top movies for watching at home.

And if you’ve got that then you’re eligible to claim two free Vue cinema tickets every single month.

You can use them for yourself and a friend or family member with no additional fees.

The only catch is that you’ll need to use them between Sunday and Thursday – but they’re available at any time of day.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR THE FREEBIE?

All you need to be eligible is Sky TV with the Sky Cinema add-on.

But beware: this won’t work if you’re just using the Sky Cinema free trial.

You’ll know that’s the case because Sky Cinema will be marked up as costing £0 on your bill.

It’s also not available if you’ve bought Sky Q, Glass, or Stream but haven’t been fully set up yet.

The tickets can’t be claimed until your TV gear is properly installed and activated.

Sky says you can use the tickets on any standard 2D screening, but not special Event Cinema screenings.

You can get Regular, Saver, or Super Saver seats.

But if you want to get VIP, 3D, IMAX, or Gold Class then you’ll have to pay an upgrade fee.

Sky also says there’s an upgrade fee for Recliner seats at:

  • Bedford
  • Dublin
  • Staines
  • Star City
  • West End

And there’s an additional upgrade fee on IMAX recliners at:

  • Manchester Printworks
  • Chesire Oaks
  • Leeds Kirkstall

So keep that in mind when you’re booking.

CLAIM YOUR FREE MOVIE TICKETS FROM SKY

First, you’ll need to download the MySky app on your iPhone, Android or tablet.

EVEN MORE MOVIE TICKETS!

That’s not the only trick to get a bargain trip to the cinema…

Amazon has a partnership with the Odeon cinema chain for movie tickets two.

You can claim two film tickets for £10 (that’s a fiver each) if you have an Amazon Prime membership.

Or you can get two recliner seats for £15 at Odeon Luxe with the same offer.

This resets each month, so you can enjoy the offer 12 times in a single calendar year.

Just go to Amazon’s Prime Deal page to get your codes it here.

Then log in and tap on Sky VIP in the bottom right corner.

Now choose the Your Vue Tickets tile, enter and confirm your email, accept the terms, and then tap Claim Your Codes.

You should see two codes, which can be used to book your seats.

Just copy them then head over to Vue’s website, find a film and cinema, pick a seat, and then enter the codes at checkout.

It’s also possible to get a QR code from Sky that you can use to book tickets in person at Vue cinemas.

Once you claim a code, you’ll have until the end of the month to use them.

You can’t combine them with other offers, but they’re compatible with Vue’s member rewards.

If you want to bring more people along, that’s fine. But any additional seats will be charged at full price – beyond the two free tickets.

Sky also warns that there is a “weekly limit” of available codes, so it’s worth snapping them up early in case they run out.
