SONIC Drive-In is adding even more options to its expansive collection of dipping sauces with two brand-new flavors.
The new additions to the iconic lineup come just days after rival Chick-fil-A shared a new dressing – which can’t be ordered with their favorite menu items.

The popular fast food chain Sonic recently added 12 secret drinks on a mysterious new menu – and that’s now been expanded by two more items.
Those keen to take their meals to the next level can now do so by choosing Jalapeño Ranch and Asian-Style Sweet Chili dipping sauces, according to a press release.
Whether American foodies crave something creamy with a spicy twist or a sweet-meets-heat experience, these sauces are sure to upgrade your order.
A fiery remix of a fan-favorite classic, Jalapeño Ranch sauce blends Ranch with a zesty hint of green jalapeños to form a spicy, herby and creamy dipping experience.
Meanwhile, sweet, spicy and irresistibly delicious, Asian-Style Sweet Chili sauce brings a bold balance of heat and sweetness with notes of soy sauce, sesame, garlic and ginger.
The popular drive-in has also revamped several of its existing dipping sauces with bolder Ranch, Honey Mustard and BBQ Sauce flavors – no matter which sauce guests prefer, they’ll experience a burst of flavor that elevates every bite.
“Our guests love customization, and the new Jalapeño Ranch and Asian-Style Sweet Chili dipping sauces let them try different flavor combinations to suit their style,” shared Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at SONIC.
“Whether adding a kick to our beloved Tots by dipping them in Jalapeño Ranch or pairing our Premium Chicken Bites with Asian-Style Sweet Chili sauce for a sweet finish, fans now have even more ways to personalize and enjoy their favorite SONIC meals with our extended sauce lineup.”
To continue serving up unbeatable value and fun, SONIC is refreshing its $1.99* Menu – also known as the “FUN.99 Menu” – to now include two NEW Jr. Chicken Sandwiches.
Both featuring juicy chicken, lightly breaded and seasoned on a toasted bakery bun, the Original Jr. Chicken Sandwich is topped with shredded lettuce and mayo while the Honey Chipotle Jr. Chicken Sandwich comes topped with a Sweet Honey Chipotle Aioli, shredded lettuce and ripe tomatoes.
In addition to the new Jr. Chicken Sandwiches, the refreshed $1.99 Menu includes:
- Queso Wraps, available in Bacon Ranch and Southwest Crunch
- French Toast Sticks
- Small Groovy Fries
- Small Floats, including Coca-Cola, Dr PEPPER, Barq’s Root Beer and Fanta.
Fans can enjoy the two new sauces and updated $1.99 Menu offerings at participating SONIC locations and in the SONIC App starting March 31.
Chick-fil-A new dressing
In the coming weeks, consumers can head to their nearest grocery store or retail giant and find Chick-fil-A’s Parmesan Caesar Dressing on shelves, per a Monday press release.
Chick-fil-A said the new condiment offering “boasts the bold, savory taste of parmesan, with a zesty lemon finish and a hint of garlic.”
It’s recommended that customers use it on salads or recipes of their own in the kitchen.
So far, the Parmesan Caesar Dressing is only coming in a bottle format to be sold at retailers, not as small side dressings at Chick-fil-A’s over 3,100 restaurants nationwide.
Chick-fil-A did not note in the release if this would change in the future.
