Playing the PS5 via Remote Play in a car, this will soon be possible. Indeed, Sony and Honda have just formalized their partnership with the project Sony Honda Mobilityrevealing to us the first information on this rather crazy concept.
Sony Honda Mobility, the car of the future
In 2022, Sony and Honda announced their partnership with the creation of the company Sony Honda Mobility pour design electric cars. Among the different features, the integration of video games and PS5 had already been mentioned. Three years later, we have confirmation that these cars will be able to play « at the Play »via le Remote Play.
Sony Honda Mobility will deliver his first models of vehicles in the United States and in particular in California from 2026. This new automobile brand will be namedAphela with the model Aphela 1which is already ready to release. We have just learned, in a recent press release, that this first vehicle model will support PlayStation Remote Playwhich will allow passengers to play PS5 and PS4 titles.

Sony and Honda specify that, for the moment, it will not be cloud gamingmore remote play onlyrequiring you to have your PS5 or PS4 turned on at home. This functionality should be offered subsequently, but not when the first vehicles are launched. It now remains to be seen how this remote reading will work in a moving vehicle and if the quality and stability will be there.
