Are you also eagerly awaiting the return of Sam Fisher in a Splinter Cell game? Were you also disappointed by his not very complimentary cameo in the saga? Ghost Recon or mobile game Tom Clancy’s from Ubisoft? Well, you too will probably be happy, but also very frustrated to know that Ubisoft and Netflix are preparing an animated series Splinter Cell which is expected to be released “soon”. However, no new games have been announced, so we’ll have to make do with that in the meantime.

The very first game Splinter Cell arrived in 2002 and immediately won over a whole generation of fans who were able to enjoy several successful installments before seeing the license suddenly end in 2013 with Splinter Cell : Blacklist. Since then, a large community of players looking forward to the announcement of a new game at every Ubisoft conference.
Good news, Sam Fisher, the secret agent of the Splinter Cell saga will soon be back. Unfortunately, it will not be in a video game yet, but through an animated series on Netflix. The announcement was made official tonight during Geeked Week from Netflix with the release of the first teaser.
Splinter Cell : Deathwatch is an animated series adaptation of the video game Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell created by Ubisoft. This teaser confirms the presence of Liev Schreiber who will lend his voice to Sam Fisher, the emblematic stealth specialist that we find in the games Splinter Cell. Ce premier teaser is quite mysteriousshowing only the coffin of a “Beloved Father”. Sam Fisher says a few words to accompany the images: “Once you get used to the shadows, you see bad people for who they really are. And they’ll never see you coming for them.”.
For now, no release datewe simply know that the series will be produced by Ubisoft Film & Television and the animation studios Sun Creature and Fost. It will be directed by Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage. The main screenplay is entrusted to Derek Kolstad (John Wick). Kolstad, Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon and Gérard Guillemot will be the executive producers.
