Spotify’s first free TV channel has just launched and is now available on compatible Samsung TVs.

The TV channel has been launched in partnership with Samsung TV Plus, and will broadcast video podcasts from Spotify Studios and The Ringer, like The Rewatchables, Higher Learning, Speidi’s 16th Minute, The Big Picture and more.

Samsung is framing this as Spotify’s first FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus and supports Spotify’s wider aim to push more video podcasts into people’s living rooms. Let’s not forget that this comes just days after Spotify said its video podcasts are headed to Netflix next year.

With this, Samsung TV users will be able to watch video podcasts 24/7 for free. This positions Spotify’s creators in front of a much larger audience and taps into a growing area of entertainment.

“Bringing The Ringer to Samsung TV Plus is an exciting evolution – expanding our reach and allowing audiences to engage with our content in new ways” Geoff Chow, Spotify’s Head of Podcast Studios & Managing Director of The Ringer, says in a press release. “This partnership highlights the growing influence of video podcasts and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality programming across multiple platforms.”

The Ringer Fast channel is available to watch through Samsung TV Plus now, which is available on Samsung TB, Galaxy, Smart Monitor, and Family Hub devices.
