Every week, Netflix adds a ton of new content for subscribers to stream. Watching all of it would take you longer than we have left in 2025, so start your weekend with my three top movies and shows for the next seven days. Our last rundown of the year offers our final visit to Hawkins for Stranger Things, plus lots of new movies to kick off 2026, a fun-looking Korean superhero series called Cashero, and a chilling documentary to kill all those holiday good vibes.
This Week on Netflix: PCMag’s Picks
Cashero (Dec. 26)
It’s pretty rare that we see a new twist on the superhero concept, but Korean series Cashero looks to have pulled it off. Kang Sang-woong is an ordinary civil servant with a strange inheritance: He has superhuman strength, but it only works when he’s carrying cash money on his person, and his money goes away the more he uses his powers. Along with a group of other oddballs, he must figure out who is targeting heroes before he’s dead broke.
Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story (Dec. 30)
For all the good the internet has brought us, there’s also evil, and YouTube parenting is pretty evil. Jodi Hildebrandt is a Utah-based counselor who, along with Ruby Franke, started a video business giving parenting advice. In 2023, her carefully crafted image collapsed when Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped from their house and revealed that he and his siblings had been brutally abused. This new documentary dives deep into how Hildebrandt was able to fool people for so long.

Stranger Things 5: The Finale (Dec. 31)
It all comes down to this. The very last episode of Stranger Things (well, until Netflix does a revival or a spin-off in a few years when they need some attention) promises to blow all the mysteries out of the water. The finale has been revealed to clock in at a whopping 2:05. Can Will, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, and Eleven put the final nail in Vecna’s coffin? What secrets have yet to be revealed? Can we get some Peanut Butter Boppers?
