The other trend noticed by Strava in its figures for the year is the explosion in the practice of sport in groups. The number of running clubs created on Strava in 2024 increased by 59%, at the same time, activities involving more than 10 people increased by 18%.
This desire to join groups to play sports together can even have romantic consequences. Thus one in 5 athletes of “Generation Z” would have found love thanks to a running group on Strava. A real sporting romance that the application is highlighting today.
