The hot summer months are the perfect time to travel with the kids.
And this Walmart set will make sure the whole family is organised and ready for it.
The 4-piece set comes in eight colour ways: black, blue, sage green, bright green, lilac, pink, mauve and coral.
The retail giant is selling the 4-piece set for just $95, which is over 60 per cent off the list price.
The Travelhouse luggage set includes four hardshell suitcases measuring 16, 20, 24 and 28 inches.
The cases each have four spinner wheels to make your journey through the airport as smooth as possible.
They also come with handy built-in combination locks to make sure your belongings are safe at all times.
Walmart customers are raving over the suitcases, which boast 4.6 stars on the retailer’s website.
One person wrote: “We took these on a cruise this past weekend. They held a lot of items. They took the beating of get shoved on a dolly and hauled to our room. They are very durable.”
Another commented: “At first I was skeptical about the suitcase since the price was such a great deal! So when it arrived, I immediately opened it immediately and checked out the suitcases, zipped and unzipped to make sure the zippers were good and checked the wheels too, and all were in great shape!
“All the suitcases were light and the handles were great, too! There is some cushion added to the handles. The TSA lock works great too and to my surprise the color – fluorescent green was exactly the color in the picture! This is a must suitcase for those that love to travel.”
“Traveled for a week with this luggage and it held up from airlines and me dragging it everywhere. It is a little heavy but I really liked the color and material,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “This luggage set is incredible! You can fit SO MUCH in them. For a week-long vacation, my husband and I SHARED the biggest one. His clothes fit on one side and mine fit on the other. There is a zippered part in the middle that keeps things separated.”
“This set is perfect to travel with. We are a family of 4 so we each get one. I gave my 5 year old the smallest and 10 year old the second smallest and they love it. The locks are easy to set up and work well,” claimed a fifth
Someone else added: “This luggage is ideal for international travel—lightweight and affordably priced.
“The built-in TSA combination lock adds a level of security, offering peace of mind. Highly recommended!”
What to do if you luggage is lost, delayed, or damaged
IT is an awful experience when your baggage does not appear on the carousel.
However, travelers can take steps to get their bags back.
What if baggage is delayed?
If your bag doesn’t show up at your destination, make sure to speak to the nearest airline representative.
Airlines have a system that tracks where bags are and can see whether luggage has ever left an airport.
After getting as much information as possible from the representative, passengers can file a claim.
Once the bag is located, airlines will either deliver it straight to a flier’s door or send it to the nearest airport.
What if baggage is lost?
Fliers should stay in close contact with airlines throughout the search for their bags.
Sometimes, airlines will tell lucky passengers their bags are gone for good.
Most airlines will declare a bag lost between five and fourteen days after the flight, but this can vary.
Airlines are responsible for compensating travelers for lost bags’ contents as long as it doesn’t surpass maximum liability limits.
Airlines must also reimburse any fees that fliers paid out for a bag to be transported if it was found.
What if a bag is damaged?
Airlines are also required to pay back customers for bags’ contents that were damaged during flight.
However, the airline won’t take responsibility for items that were destroyed because the luggage was improperly packed.
Most airlines also won’t reimburse cash, electronics, fragile items, and perishables.
Anyone who has a bag damaged during flight should file a claim and discuss whether they can get a refund.
