The Synology BC800Z is the new 4K varifocal bullet camera with AI capabilities presented by the firm specialized in storage and networking. The manufacturer promises sharp images, performance in low light conditions, certified durability and intelligent analytics, aspects necessary for intelligent and reliable surveillance for businesses.

Synology BC800Z, características

The BC800Z offers a resolution of 8MP (3840×2160) a 30 FPS with a 4.38–9.33 mm zoom lens and a 112.1° to 47.5° horizontal field of view, providing sharp images and flexible coverage. A 1/1.8″ starlight sensor combined with white/IR hybrid illumination ensures clear images in low-light environments. Built with a body entirely of aluminum and certified to IP66, IP67 and IK10 standards, the BC800Z offers rugged durability for reliable operation in demanding surveillance environments.

The BC800Z delivers AI-powered event recognition and detection directly at the edge, ensuring ultra-low latency and highly efficient performance. It supports smoke detection, license plate recognition, and people and vehicle counting, enabling fast and intelligent incident detection. Enhanced with advanced analytics features such as intrusion detection, Instant Search and Auto Tracking, the BC800Z allows users to proactively respond to events and Protect your property faster, more accurately and more confidently.

The BC800Z integrates protection at every layer, from system integrity to data transmission and storage. HTTPS and SRTP provide end-to-end encryption for video and data, while the microSD card’s failover mechanism ensures recording during network outages. The BC800Z is NDAA/TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and enterprise deployments. Together, these functions protect confidentialityintegrity and availability of critical surveillance data.

To offer users greater flexibility and transparency in deployment, Synology will separate device licenses and cameras. With built-in camera licenses already included in Synology NAS and DVA products, this new model allows users to purchase additional licenses only when necessary. Camera pricing will also be adjusted to reflect the new structure, offering greater value and cost efficiency. The Synology BC800Z is now available through the manufacturer’s partners and distributors.
