First on Fox – A software company established in San Francisco agreed to change his policy after a Christian Ministry had established a lawsuit that accused the technology company of religious discrimination.

Holy Sexuality, a Christian non -profit that offers families Videolessen about a Biblical view of sex and gender, has filed a federal lawsuit against software company Asana in February. The complaint claims that Asana refused to give the holy sexuality its 50% non -profit discount on subscriptions to his project management software that it gives to other non -profit organizations.

According to the lawsuit, Asana had a policy that kept religious non -profit organizations “that exist only to spread a belief in a specific belief” of this financial discount.

On faith -based conservative legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) argued that the denial of Asana and its broader policy were illegal under the Civil Rights Act in California.

San Francisco Tech Company Asana ended its policy that subscription discounts to religious groups ended after a Christian group had brought a lawsuit.

Less than two months after submitting the complaint, Asana agreed to arrange the case and to give the non -profit the discount. It also agreed to remove language from his policy, with the delay of religious groups to receive the discount, according to ADF.

“Christians and other faith people are not second -class citizens in California, and technology companies in San Francisco cannot refuse discounts to customers, simply because they are religious,” said ADF legal adviser Mathew Hoffmann in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Asana did the right one by turning the course quickly, agreeing to give holy sexuality the discount that the other non -profit organizations offers and eliminating the discriminatory policy,” he added.

A spokesperson for Asana gave the following explanation to FOX News Digital: “Asana transforms how organizations coordinate work in the pursuit of their goals. To date, our non-profit discount program has helped to help more than 15,000 mission-driven organizations to support their community-included organizations.”

“In the future we will give the discount to any qualifying non -profit organization with 501 (C) (3) designation, as determined by the Irs. Holy Sexuality has been a customer since August 2024 and will continue to use the platform, now with our non -profit discount,” the company added.

“Christians and other faith people are not second -class citizens in California, and technology companies in San Francisco cannot refuse discounts to customers, simply because they are religious,” said ADF legal adviser Mathew Hoffmann about the profit of the court case.

Founder of Saint Sexuality, Christopher Yuan, a Christian author, speaker and teacher, said in the ADF statement: “Our nation is based on the principle of the free exercise of religion-a cornerstone of our democracy. Some companies encouraged by Intersectional Discise and anti-Christian”

He continued: “We are grateful for this victory and hope that it serves to remind other companies that the Law of California protects all Religions through discrimination. Equal treatment is the foundation of our society. I look forward to this result because it is a movement in the right direction. And I hope that other companies will stop discriminating based on religion. ”

ADF agreed to drop the complaint in the light of the settlement agreement.

Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Brendan Carr has informed technology companies that censorship and discriminatory policy will be investigated by the Trump administration.

Last month Carr sent a letter to Google and asked the company or discriminates against faith -based channels, after Great American Media wrote to Carr and claimed that it repeatedly refused a platform on YouTube TV.
