Templus has purchased three data centers in Spain and Portugal from Grupo Airelocated in Madrid, Valencia and Lisbon; which marks another step in its expansion throughout the Peninsula. Additionally, as part of this operation, Grupo Aire becomes a strategic partner of Templus.
Grupo Aire customers who used the acquired data centers will continue to use them. In addition, the company adds to its offer the data centers that Templus already operates in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville and, in the near future, Ceuta.
The operation adds 6.5 MW to Templus’ installed power, which will exceed 60 MW throughout this year, also thanks to the purchase agreement reached with Atlas Edge to retain nine other company data centers in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark and Switzerland.
Templus is going to carry out various reforms in all the infrastructure that it has acquired in these operations, with the aim of improving its operating capacity, in addition to increasing both its power and its surface. In addition, it will provide these centers with the highest levels of sustainability and energy efficiency, in line with its ESG strategy, and with the aim of meeting the necessary requirements to be classified as TIER III centers.
Grupo Aire, thanks to this agreement, reinforces its network and consolidates its capacity to offer connectivity and cloud services to companies and entities, since it will benefit from the improvements planned by Templus in the data centers and from expanded access to its entire network as strategic partners. All in addition to maintaining the attention and management of its clients normally, both in its three own data centers (Alicante, Talavera de la Reina and the Canary Islands), and in the Templus network from now on.
