Tencent has recently taken a stake in autonomous delivery vehicle maker Neolix, according to China’s national corporate credit information publicity system, as the companies seek to accelerate the commercial rollout of Level 4 self-driving technology in urban logistics. Founded in February 2018, Neolix develops, manufactures and operates autonomous delivery vehicles, focusing on L4 autonomous driving applications for last-mile city distribution. Tencent is expected to provide capital, technical resources and ecosystem support to help Neolix speed up technology upgrades and expand globally, aiming to drive higher-quality development in the smart logistics sector.
