The 5 Best Weekend Tech Deals on AirPods, Speakers, Switch Games, and More

The big news in retail right now is Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, where the mega-retailer is pushing big price cuts on thousands of tech products. But Amazon isn’t the only game in town, and for our regular weekend roundup of discounts we branched out to look around at other stores. We found some pretty astonishing discounts, including big price cuts on Apple’s coveted AirPods Pro, one of our favorite Switch games, a high-end robot vacuum and more.

Amazon’s Blink line of security cameras stepped into the video doorbell space in 2022, and we had a solid review of the unit, saying that it was a breeze to install and integrates seamlessly with Alexa devices. With sharp 1080p video, in color during the day and infrared at night, you’re able to identify visitors and communicate through two-way audio. You’ll need a Blink subscription to store video in the cloud, or a Sync Module with a USB drive (sold separately) for local storage. Amazon has a 45% discount on the doorbell right now.

Best Buy has a 33% discount on the Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker, cutting it down to a hundred bucks. We reviewed the Beats Pill and gave it an Editors’ Choice award, for its bright, clear sound with rich bass, durable dustproof and waterproof build and intuitive iOS compatibility (although it works with Android and other devices as well). You can use the USB-C port for wired lossless audio as well. Battery life is also tremendous, with up to 24 hours at medium volume in between charges.

We had nothing but good things to say about the second-generation AirPods Pro in our review, giving it an Editors’ Choice award. These earbuds boast industry-leading noise cancellation and crystal-clear sound quality, but it’s really the innovative extra features that make them stand out from the pack. The well-publicized hearing aid functionality is just the tip of the iceberg, and you also get personalized volume modes, Siri controls to interface with your phone, and much more. During Amazon’s massive Big Spring Sale, they’re on sale for 32% off.
