Anker’s latest portable projector has a party trick. The Nebula P1 ships with two speakers that slide out and work wirelessly, allowing you to position the projector in one spot and place the sound where it’s actually needed.
Each detachable 10W speaker connects over Bluetooth and lasts up to 20 hours on a charge. The projector itself requires mains power, so the outdoor movie plan will still necessitate the use of an extension cord.
Speakers you can put where the people are
Being able to move the speakers is handy on a patio or in a living room where sound bounces around.
You can spread them wider for a bigger stereo image or pull them closer for late-night viewing. The P1 weighs about 5.3 pounds and costs $799 at full price, with launch discounts bringing it to $719 at the time of writing. Currently, there’s no UK price set.
It is the smaller, cheaper sibling to Anker’s X1 Pro and is clearly built for convenience rather than brute-force brightness.
A compact projector that prefers the lights down
The P1 tops out at 1080p and 650 ANSI lumens from an LED light source. That is fine for evening showings, less so with daylight sneaking in. Anker quotes a picture up to 180 inches, but a darker room will make the most of it. Setup is the easy part. You get autofocus, automatic keystone, and a built-in gimbal with around 130 degrees of adjustment, so getting the image lined up should be quick.
Anker’s own battery-first mini, the Capsule 3 Laser, is beloved for travel-friendly size even if brightness sits lower than the P1. On the other side, small LED rivals like the XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro lean into easy setup and polished software. The P1 splits the difference with more lumens and those place-anywhere speakers, while skipping an internal battery.

This one’s a neat idea. Moving the speakers is the kind of simple tweak that makes movie night feel better without new cables or stands.
