Thanks to robot mops, you no longer need to exert any elbow grease to have a shiny floor. Like robot vacuums, you can now find a dizzying variety of robot mops with a range of features and prices. At PCMag, we’ve been reviewing autonomous floor scrubbers since these devices first gained popularity more than a decade ago, so you’ve come to the right place when searching for the best robot mop for your home. The Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop earns our highest recommendation for its versatility, scrubbing power, and self-maintenance abilities. That said, if you want to save money or you’re looking for a different set of features, we have a variety of models on this list to help you find the best robot mop for your needs and budget.

Deeper Dive: Our Top Tested Picks

EDITORS’ NOTE

December 26, 2025: With this update, our lineup of recommended robot mops remains unchanged. The existing picks have been vetted for currency and availability. We currently have 10 new robot floor mops in PC Labs for evaluation, from Ecovacs, Shark, and other manufacturers.

  • Vacuums and mops effectively
  • Roller mop limits cross-contamination
  • Side brush and mop extend into corners
  • Dispenses detergent automatically
  • Lifts itself over hurdles
  • Battery lasts longer than two hours
  • Expensive
  • Occasionally gets lost
  • Auto-generated maps may require manual edits

The Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni features an innovative mop design, similar to a paint roller, that scrubs your floors with 4,000Pa of pressure while spinning at 200rpm. The relatively unique mop keeps itself clean as it works, as a scraper whisks away the dirty water while it spins, and 16 nozzles keep it doused with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also keep your floors clear of dust and pet hair, with 18,000Pa of vacuum suction power. It can lift its mop over the carpet, or you can set it to vacuum the carpet first before wetting its mop. When back at the base, it empties its own dustbin and washes and dries its own mop to prepare for the next run.

People who want it all: If you don’t want to put any effort toward cleaning your floors, and you’re willing to pay for that convenience, the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni should be at the top of your list thanks to its effective roller mop, strong suction power, and useful self-maintenance features.

Homes with a mix of flooring types: With excellent sweeping and scrubbing performance, it’s a top choice for homes with a mix of carpet and hard flooring. It navigates efficiently, making it a good fit for large homes with extensive floor space.

Pet owners: The Deebot X8 thoroughly removes pet hair without tangles, making it an ideal choice for those with furry roommates. Moreover, it applies sufficient pressure with its mop to remove grime from hard flooring, and the roller design helps limit cross-contamination.

  • Quiet.
  • Small.
  • Solid navigation capabilities.
  • Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
  • Expensive.
  • Deep stains still require some elbow grease.

Made by one of the most respected names in the robotic floor cleaner market, the iRobot Braava Jet m6 is among the best standalone robot mops. When mopping, the M6 sprays a specific area with a cleaning solution (or plain water) and goes over it a few times before moving on and repeating the process, picking up a lot more dirt and grime than we expected. It can detect and automatically avoid carpeting, and it rarely gets stuck. Moreover, it’s easy to use, supports app and voice control, and maps out your home for targeted room cleaning.

Homes with mostly hard floors: The Braava Jet m6 is an excellent standalone robot mop for homes with mostly hardwood, laminate, or tile flooring. It doesn’t vacuum, but it thoroughly scrubs hard floors. With its long battery life and the ability to cover up to 1,000 square feet on a single charge, the m6 is suitable for both apartments and larger homes.

Roomba fans: This makes a nice addition to your cleaning repertoire if you already own an iRobot Roomba i, j, or s series robot vacuum. You can link them in the app and configure the mop to start a run once the vacuum finishes cleaning your floors.

  • Vacuums and mops effectively
  • Systematic and thorough navigation
  • Empties its own dustbin
  • Supports virtual walls, scheduling, and voice control
  • Excellent large-particle pickup performance
  • Struggles with stubborn debris
  • Unintuitive Alexa controls

The TP-Link Tapo RV30 Max Plus is priced below $300 and still checks all the right boxes in terms of key features to make your life easier. It features LiDAR navigation, which helps it move efficiently through your home. After it vacuums, it empties its dirt into a bag in its base station. Both of those features, in particular, are tough to find for this price. The RV30 Max Plus is also a hybrid vacuum and mop. A washable mop pad sticks onto a hard plate that snaps onto the dustbin. Put it in place, fill the labeled compartment in the dustbin with water, and the RV30 is ready to mop. Thanks to its mapping capabilities, you can even dictate which floors need mopping and which don’t.

Budget shoppers: If you don’t need anything particularly fancy, it’s hard to go wrong with the sheer value of the Tapo RV30 Max Plus. It’s easy to use, vacuums and mops well, navigates efficiently, and even empties its own dustbin. Its mix of features makes it a steal at its bargain-friendly price.

First-time buyers: If you’re not sure how much you’ll use a robot vacuum, try this one out. It nails the basics without breaking your wallet.

  • Removes, installs, washes, and dries its mop pads
  • Cleans its washboard
  • Automatically dispenses cleaning detergent
  • Stellar large particle pickup
  • Maps and cleans efficiently
  • Falls short of competition on deep cleaning

The Dreame X30 Ultra can automatically detach its mop pads to avoid dragging them over your high-pile rugs and reattach them when necessary. Like other premium 2-in-1s, it can lift its mopping pads out of the way when vacuuming over low-pile carpet for efficient double-duty runs. When mopping, it can extend its mop pads into corners and under cabinets for a more thorough cleaning. After a run, the base station will empty the robot’s dustbin, wash the mop pads, dry them, and wash its basin. The base also automatically refills the robot’s internal tank with fresh water and adds a dose of detergent, making it ready for the next job.

Low-maintenance users: The Dreame X30 automatically empties its own dustbin, washes and dries its own mops, and even washes its own docking station basin, maximizing the time between manual interventions needed to keep it running smoothly.

Homes with high-end carpet: The Dreame X30 Ultra is a top choice if you want a hands-off hybrid and are willing to pay a premium to avoid any contact between the mop pads and your carpet. It can remove and reattach its own mop pads based on the flooring type to minimize cross-contamination, making it one of the best premium 2-in-1 models for those with medium- or high-pile carpets that cannot get wet.

  • Excellent cleaning performance
  • Side brush and mop pads extend into corners
  • Lifts itself over hurdles
  • Detachable mop pads
  • Built-in voice assistant and security camera functionality
  • Ran over obstacles in testing
  • Lacks a detergent dispenser
  • May drag mops over carpet

The Qrevo Curv uses spinning mop pads to great effect. Both the mop pads and the side brush extend outward, helping it clean tight spots along walls and in corners where some other robots miss. The Curv also stands out for its ability to lift itself over small thresholds, which can help it avoid getting stuck and traverse multi-tiered floor plans. Otherwise, the Curv offers all the features you’d expect from a high-end hybrid, including a camera that serves double duty as a security robot, a self-emptying base station that washes and dries the mop pads, and a stylish design.

Homes with multi-tiered floors: The Roborock Qrevo Curv is a top premium 2-in-1 model for homes with tall thresholds and/or multi-level floors. Each of the robot’s two main side wheels can independently raise its body up to 0.4 inches off the ground. This lets the robot clear obstacles that others might get stuck on and allows it to climb thresholds up to 1.6 inches tall.

Allergy sufferers: Dust and pet hair tend to collect along walls and in corners, and the Curv is particularly adept at cleaning those areas. It also empties its own dustbin, so you can avoid coming into contact with the particles. It even mops well enough to remove the grime your pet leaves behind.

  • Thorough large particle pickup
  • Good mopping performance
  • Efficient navigation
  • Short stature to fit under furniture
  • Supports scheduling, virtual walls, and voice control
  • Struggles with stubborn debris
  • No self-emptying base station
  • Occasionally gets stuck

The Tapo RV20 vacuums and mops surprisingly well for its affordable price. A washable mop pad sticks to a hard plate that snaps to the bottom of the robot’s dustbin. Because it navigates with LiDAR embedded in the front of the vacuum, rather than on top, it can fit under low-profile furniture to capture dust bunnies and polish floors. App-based smarts allow it to avoid carpeted rooms in mop mode, and voice controls through Alexa and Google Assistant allow you to send it to clean where needed.

Homes with low-profile furniture: Since the Tapo RV20 has its LiDAR sensor tucked into its body, it stands a diminutive 3.2 inches tall, allowing it to traverse where many competitors can’t, like under your bed or couch.

Budget shoppers: The most affordable vacuum on this list, the Tapo RV20 is a good option if you need to pinch pennies. It vacuums, mops, and navigates well, and even responds to voice commands through compatible devices. It’s a bargain-friendly hybrid that doesn’t cut corners on cleaning performance.

  • Unique deep cleaning attachment
  • Self-cleaning roller mop
  • Capable large particle pickup
  • Automatic detergent dispenser
  • Poor pickup of stubborn debris
  • Dampens area rugs
  • Runs over obstacles
  • Cumbersome design

One of the few models with a roller mop design, the Eufy Omni E28 offers serious scrubbing power. The roller mop cleans itself as it works, limiting cross-contamination, and the base station does a good job of giving it a thorough wash between runs. The E28 is also a versatile hybrid model, featuring an attached handheld deep cleaner that removes stains from both carpet and upholstery. It also offers a lofty 20,000Pa of suction, as well as app controls and integrations with Alexa or Google Assistant for voice controls.

Parents and pet owners: The Eufy E28’s standout feature is its FlexiOne deep cleaner, a portable handheld device meant for tackling wet messes and set-in stains on carpet and furniture, making it a strong choice for homes with little hands and paws. If the deep cleaner appeals to you, the Eufy Omni E28 backs up its unique hybrid design with excellent mopping performance.

Buying Guide: The Best Robot Mops for 2026

Which Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo Works Best?

Every robot mop has a few things in common. They generally come with reservoirs that need to be filled with water or cleaning solution, microfiber cloths that scrub your floors and pick up dirt, and sensors to help them navigate autonomously around your furniture.

Robot mops generally come in one of two flavors: single-purpose or hybrid. Single-purpose mops, like the iRobot Braava Jet m6, can’t vacuum your floors. Some can, however, perform a dry sweep to clear the area before they start mopping.

Hybrid models, as you might expect, can mop and vacuum. They typically have attachments for microfiber cloths that wipe or scrub your floors as the robot runs around your home. Some feature an interchangeable dustbin and water tank and don’t require any presoaking before cleaning.

Hybrid models are typically more expensive, but they also offer features such as app control via your phone, voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and even interactivity with other smart home devices.

In our reviews, we note which models are hybrids and test their functionality accordingly.

How We Test Robot Mops

We test robot mops in our actual homes, keeping the following criteria in mind: battery life, navigation, ease of setup and operation, and performance.

The primary purpose of robotic cleaners is to automate the cleaning process for you. Having to intervene defeats the purpose. To that end, we look to see whether the robot can handle different floor types, such as tile and wood, with equal ease. We also check to see if it avoids textiles like rugs and carpeting or if it comes with peripheral features like virtual walls (or app controls) to make this easier.

Battery life is also important; the size of your home determines what is sufficient. The longer the robot mop can run on one charge, the better it is for larger homes. We consider a battery life of 60 minutes to be sufficient for small homes and apartments; ideally, we would like to see results in the 90-minute range. We fully charge the robot to test battery life before running a cleaning cycle. We then let it run for as long as it takes to completely drain the battery.

Setup is another factor we consider. Most involve charging your robot and filling up water tanks. Once again, you want these processes to be as simple as possible. And although not every robot mop works with an app, hybrid models often do. In these instances, we assess the app’s intuitiveness and the benefits it offers.

Recommended by Our Editors

We then test how well a robot mop cleans in real-life conditions. We consider factors such as whether it uses a cleaning solution or just water. We see how well it tackles dry stains versus wet on various surfaces. We also ensure that it doesn’t scuff tile or wood, and at the end of every cleaning session, we inspect the microfiber cloth to assess its level of dirtiness.

Finally, we put the mop through a stress test. We put 0.25 ounces of raspberry jelly on a single spot on the floor in a closed room and see what happens. Of course, we note whether the mop is powerful enough to remove the stain, but we also let you know if it spreads sticky residue or seeds elsewhere on the floor.

Are Robot Mops Worth It?

As with robot vacuums, robot mops do a sufficient job of keeping your floors clean, but they aren’t complete substitutes for a little elbow grease. They’re great for maintenance and fresh spills. Deep-set stains, however, still likely require some manual scrubbing.

The robot mop market is still a growing category. See our reviews for a detailed analysis of each model listed here. Check back soon, as we continually review new ones. When you find the right one for you, read up on our top tips for robot vacuums, many of which also apply to mops.
