When it comes to smartwatch shopping, it can be tempting to simply opt for whatever looks best.

But if you want to make the most of what wearable technology has to offer, then you’ll want to give thought to what your actual needs are and the features that will help you to better achieve your goals.

One great option to get the best of both those worlds is the Google Fitbit Sense 2, which has now hit its lowest price in recent times. You’ll get £30 off the usual price of £179, as it’s down to just £149 in a time-limited deal.

If you’re only interested in tracking your calories and working out with friends, then a reliable fitness tracker should do the trick, but if you want to dive into the nitty-gritty of your body and see data relating to your heart rate, sleep cycles and more, then a proper smartwatch is the better buy.

If you want to dive straight into the action, then the Google Fitbit Sense 2 is a solid smartwatch for any individual who’s serious about taking their health and fitness to the next level and gaining an extra bit of insight into their lives.

Unlike a lot of wearables in this price range, the Sense 2 has GPS built-in, which means that you can track and map key fitness activities without needing to take your phone with you. You also have plenty of tools to manage your mental and physical wellness, including stress and sleep management.

On the health front, you’ve got access to an ECG app, SpO2 monitoring and a 24/7 heart rate sensor which all combine to help you keep a comprehensive record of a whole host of wellness metrics. The Sense 2 even has up to six days of battery life, which can help keep the fitness tracking going without needing to be charged overnight.

The Sense 2 works with both iPhones (it’s compatible with iOS 15 or higher) and Android phones (it requires Android OS 9.0 or higher), so you shouldn’t have an issue with pairing it to your existing device.
