The Great British Bake Off has made its grand return to our TV screens tonight but viewers have spotted a problem.
The Great British Bake Off viewers were quick to share the same complaints as they spotted a problem ahead of the show’s debut.
The Channel 4 hit show has made its grand return to our TV screens tonight as twelve new bakers enter the competition.
As always Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding are also back to guide the amateur bakers through 10 weeks of challenges.
They are all hoping to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, as well as taking home the Star Baker title each week.
The first instalment saw the bakers take on cake week and viewers saw the hopefuls make a Swiss roll with an inlay design, work out how to make fondant fancies in the technical and serve up a stunning landscape cake in the showstopper round.

However it wasn’t all smooth sailing as there is a disaster in the landscape showstopper round when someone’s cake slides off the stand.
Baker Iain, 29, from Belfast, suffered a nightmare when his chocolate cake had seemingly melted and fallen apart.
He is heard saying: “Oh God! Urgh! It’s just fallen apart.” The software engineer is seen trying to put the cake back together, including scraping bits of it from out of a tray, in the scene.
There is another disaster during the showstopper round as a cake collapses in on itself but somehow they stage an incredible salvage operation and somehow pull it off.
After putting their creation back into shape, fellow bakers are hugely impressed as one could be heard saying: “That’s actually miraculous. That’s insane. You’ve smashed that.”
As the competition heats up, it didn’t take long for fans to point out one major issue as they questioned why the new series doesn’t feature any older cast members.
Sharing their reaction under a snap of the cast posted to the show’s official Instagram account, one fan wrote: “They all look so young! I do love when you have the grannies.”
Another pointed out: “Omg no grannies this year.” Meanwhile many fans were pleased that the same has made its return, with one writing: “The world has tilted back on its axis and all is right again.”
Another said: “Baking some pumpkin cupcakes to celebrate the return of bake off AND my birthday! Best bday ever!!! Can’t wait!”
One fan commented: “I love love love seeing a group of ‘normal’ looking people!!! I cannot wait to watch this season.”
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday 2nd September at 8pm.
