When it comes to choosing a new Apple tablet, it’s the iPad Air that I think is the best buy for most people, and this remarkable deal on a model with the fast M3 chip is only cementing that opinion.

Even though I’m a proud iPad Mini owner, I’ll fully admit that for those who want the ultimate in versatility, the 11-inch iPad Air (now 25% off at $449) should be your only concern, courtesy of its superb build quality, excellent display, and all-around powerhouse performance.

Deal Apple iPad Air 11 inch with M3 chip

The 2025 Apple iPad Air 11-inch is now $150 cheaper

For starters, let’s talk about the chip. The M3 chip is designed to offer a better level of efficiency when running Apple Intelligence features. And having this chip in the iPad means that you’re more than future-proofed to take advantage of the upgraded iPadOS 26 when it drops later this year.

What that chip also means is an undeniable boost in the Air’s capability on a day-to-day level, with the desktop-level chip found in many of Apple’s laptops. Compared to the chip that’s in the entry-level iPad right now, the iPad Air is able to multitask far more smoothly, operating loads of apps simultaneously without ever feeling bogged down.

This makes it equally adept for work (you can pair it with a wireless keyboard and mouse) as it is for entertainment, be it through gaming, Apple TV or reading via the Kindle app.

All of that capability is supported brilliantly by the device’s Liquid Retina display. Not only does it offer plenty of brightness, an excellent level of clarity and a true-to-life colour representation, it also makes every screen feel immersive, enveloping you in whatever film or TV show you’re watching after a long day at work.

With 128GB of built-in storage, you won’t need to worry about running out of space for key apps and stored media. There’s even Wi-Fi 6E onboard for faster connectivity to the internet and applicable networks.

The 12MP front and back cameras aren’t going to replace the phone in your pocket, but they can be handy for quick snaps in a pinch. Plus, with Touch ID, you can be sure that your iPad is safe from prying eyes.

Finalising the package is the modern Space Grey finish that Apple does better than most, making the iPad Air a stylish device that’s easy to bring into any setting.

For all that you get here, the iPad Air with M3 chip was already fairly priced, but with an extra 25% off, it’s now an offer that’s too good to pass up.

Apple’s 2025 refresh of the iPad Air is one of the most unnecessary updates to the tablet series yet. That’s not to say this isn’t a good tablet – it very much remains up there with the best tablets around, but this particular refresh is certainly on the minor side. There’s one big new

  • So much power on offer with M3

  • Versatility with two screen sizes

  • An overall great all-round IPad

  • Screen still 60Hz

  • No new colours
