I’ve been using Mac laptops since the iBook days. Fast forward to 2026 and my main laptop is still a Mac. So if you’re looking for a stylish and powerful machine that can take on any task, the MacBook Air would be my top choice, especially now that it houses Apple’s M5 chipset. Even better, you can get one for $150 off.

For a limited time, Amazon has the 13-inch MacBook Air (M5) on sale for $949. That’s $150 off and the best price I’ve seen for Apple’s laptop. Alternatively, you can get the 15-inch MacBook Air (M5) on sale for $1,149 at Amazon. That’s $100 off and the cheapest price ever for the 15-inch model. These are hands-down the best MacBook deals I’ve seen this year.

MacBook Air M5 deals

The MacBook Air M5 features a 13.6-inch (2560 x 1664) display, Apple M5 chipset, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The new MacBook Air made its official debut in March alongside its 15-inch counterpart. The downside to Apple’s announcement is that both machines received a $100 price increase from their M4 predecessors.

However, today’s deal knocks $150 off the 13-inch model and $100 off the 15-inch model. Those are the biggest discounts I’ve seen to date on Apple’s new machines. In our MacBook Air M5 review we said it’s the laptop to get for most people and users with an M3 or older chipset will notice a major performance boost.

We were also fans of its phenomenal battery life. In our tests, the 13-inch model lasted for 15 hours and 28 minutes, whereas the 15-inch model lasted for 15 hours and 37 minutes. Throw in a larger 512GB SSD alongside MacBook Pro-like performance courtesy of the M5 chipset, and you’ve got a killer laptop.
