After the Redmagic 10 PRO last January and the 10 air in April, it is the turn of the Redmagic 10s Pro to arrive on the test benches of the Geek Journal. Large screen at 144 Hz, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 24 GB of RAM, active fan, dedicated buttons … The brand does not put anything aside to offer a full and flawless game smartphone.
Without fault, really? There are still certain points to clarify, especially on the software part or the photo block, the two weak points noted on the 10 pro. We tested it for you!

Three variants are announced by the Chinese brand:
- 12+256 GB for 649 euros
- 16+512 GB for 799 euros
- 24 Go + 1 To pour 999 euros.
In terms of packaging, no surprise, it’s the same as on the other smartphones in the 10 range. Inside, you will find the usual booklets, a transparent silicone shell, a USB cable and an 80 W charger. Yes, it’s less than the 100 W of 10 Pro.
The Redmagic 10S Pro is available from 649 euros and up to 999 euros depending on the versions.

Design
The Redmagic 10s Pro looks like a 10 pro. We find the same format, very rectangular with flat slices, a screen that covers 95.3 % of the surface, fine borders and the absence of a front camera (hidden under the screen, significant comfort when reading a video or a game). Until then, nothing seems to predict his gaming arrangements, just a premium smartphone as the Galaxy S25 Ultra can be for example. This is necessarily accompanied by generous dimensions (163.42 x 76.14 x 8.9 mm) for a significant weight (229 grams).
Redmagic offers three colors: Nightfall, a fairly sober black dress, Moonlight (in clear transparency) and Dusk (in dark transparency). If you like a little industrial designs with visible screws like on Nothing smartphones, you will be served. It is original while remaining rather discreet compared to gaming phones from previous years. We particularly appreciate the fact that the objectives do not exceed the rear window.
On the right edge, forgive me the expression, but it’s the brothel. In addition to the traditional volume and food buttons, we find sensitive triggers at each end, but also a red switch (I will come back to it) and an orifice to evacuate the air blown by the fan, which is also entitled to its counterpart on the left edge. It is loaded. Good news nevertheless: there is a jack port on the upper edge to connect a wired helmet, option absent from the air version.

Small black point for a smartphone at this price: it is only certified IP54, ensuring resistance to splashing, where competition generally rises to immersion (IP67 or more). We imagine that this is a difficult objective to achieve with an active fan which must clearly evacuate the air through an orifice.
Screen and audio
The screen does not change. It is therefore the same as on the 10 pro: an AMOLED slab of 2688 x 1216 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a sampling rate amounting to 2500 Hz, a maximum brightness of 2000 Nits and a promised coverage of 100 % of the DCI-P3 spectrum. These are the characteristics that were found on the ultra premium Android of one or two years ago, and again on the iPhone 16 Pro this year. Even if we do better today, especially on the protection against the breakage and especially on the anti -reflective treatment of the window, it is clear that this will be suitable by the majority of users, even outdoors.

As for the refresh rate, the maximum at 144 Hz is very comfortable, but the absence of LTPO technology reduces granularity. The screen is still adjusted in all transparency at 60, 90, 120 or 144 Hz depending on the content displayed on the screen. An improvement axis for next year!
The audio part is provided by two stereos speakers located on the smallest slices. Nothing but having a real speaker on the top is a significant asset compared to the whole competition. They are also certified DTS-X, but we nevertheless expected in 2025 on this price range. Concretely, this translates into a powerful volume with contorted distortions. They are still phone speakers, do not expect a very rich sound, but for size, it’s very good.
Android 15, performance and autonomy
In the aftermath of the launch of Android 16, it is not surprising that the Redmagic 10S Pro runs on Android 15, surmounted by the Redmagic OS interface. This remains faithful to Google’s mind while adding its share of features, personalizations and approximate translations such as “Awakening Google Assistant” to launch Gemini from the ignition button. It stins the automatic translation at full nose, a sign of laziness at the time of the LLM.
Geeks will not care very long in view of the many available options and ingenious ideas. One of those that we appreciate the most is directly inspired from Samsung: in a menu, just pull the screen down so that the title of the section extends over the entire upper half of the display, lowering lowering in fact Clickable content on the lower half. Extremely practical to navigate one hand on such a diagonal. The magic key (the red switch) can be configured to launch the Gamespace, the camera, the torch, the face to face to face, the voice recorder or even to change sound mode. Here we find an idea popularized by Apple and OnePlus… better.
On the other hand, there are always too many preinstalled applications for a device at this price. If Facebook, Tiktok and Booking still go, we would do without block blast and moboreels. The updates are also light: two versions of Android (up to Android 17) and five years of security updates.
It is on the performance side that Redmagic pushed the knobs to the max. We find at the heart of the 10s Pro an Snapdragon 8 Elite (the best Soc of the moment on Android) supported by the Redcore R3 Pro chip, a gargantuan quantity of RAM LPDDR5T, UFS 4.1 pro storage and a cooling system (Ice-X) at 10 layers, including a 12,000 mm² steam room and a high speed fan (23,000 turns per minute). It is simply the most powerful Android smartphone of the moment.
A great power sometimes implies small inconveniences. Here, it is a breath of constant fan to operate at full speed as well as a metal frame that tends to heat up quickly and strong. Starting a benchmark makes the phone completely unusable unless you put on male. However, these two problems are not found on everyday use. Even by launching Fortnite with all the adjustments to the maximum, the game turns constantly at 90 FPS and heats in a completely acceptable manner (if you accept the constant pampering of the fan). Suffice to say that I did not find any game on the Play Store capable of undermining this condensed power in the raw state, enough to hold many years before being limited.
On the autonomy side, the Redmagic 10s Pro comes out of the hand for traditional use and can reach up to two days if you do not push it too much. However, this remains a game smartphone and the active fan as its overpowered chip tends to consume. On a human impact, count about five hours before the battery exhausted completely.
Photo and video
Weak point on all Redmagic smartphones, the photo part of the 10s pro does not change the situation. We find on board the same omnivision sensors as out of the 10 air and 10 pro, namely the OV50E for the Grand Angle and the OV50D for the ultra-angle. These are two 50 megapixel sensors capable of pixel-binning in order to produce 12.5 mpx images.

The verdict is therefore logically the same: the main sensor can be an illusion in broad daylight, but suffers from a few inconvenience that the followers of the photo will notice at first glance. The contrast is generally not enough to perfectly bring out a subject, the strong sources of light sometimes create a white veil on the image and the definition could be better in view of the definition. Suffice to say that the result is sufficient for those who want to capture a memory, but at equivalent prices, we obviously find much better. It will therefore be necessary to make a choice between performance and photo quality.
On the side of the ultra grand angle, the contrast and the definition drop a little more. Purple fringes (a chromatic aberration) are also more frequent and the angles display a fairly unattractive grain absent on the Grand Angle.
At night, the Grand Angle is still doing well if he manages to capture a minimum of light, without doing wonders. By playing a little with the light of brightness, you can succeed in obtaining an acceptable result, but you should not count too much on it. The ultra-angle for its part lacks too much brightness and the clichés are at best mediocre.
At the front, the integration of the selfie camera under the screen is always magnificent. A visually strong point, but a weak point for optical quality. Even in full sun, it is impossible to obtain a detailed texture and a white/gray veil tarnishes the photos. It has the merit of existing, but Redmagic really did not bet on it to make you crack, the proof with the results in low light which are not usable at all.
But rather forge your opinion with these few examples:
