A nervous gameplay
In Marathon, You embody cybernetic mercenaries called runners, sent to Tau Ceti IV, a abandoned planet full of dangers and treasures. Each run lasts about 30 minutes, placing yourself in front of human opponents or controlled by the computer in hostile environments. In a tangle of acid colors, your mission is simple: exploring a desolate world, recovering stolen equipment, and leaving the map before exploding your brains.
Each decision counts, whether to face an enemy or to flee in order to preserve your loot. Recovered objects can be stored for the following missions or sold to the black market, adding an economic dimension to the game.
A rich and immersive narrative universe
The story of Marathon is part of the same universe as the original trilogy released in the 1990s. Bungie relies on a proven storytellingwhere players directly influence the evolution of the world thanks to their choices and their discoveries. Each mission contributes to revealing the secrets of Tau Ceti IV while allowing to advance in the main story.
Inspired by works like Ghost in the Shell, Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse or Mirror’s Edgethis mixture promises a memorable visual experience. Marathon’s influences are not limited to video games. Between Murderbot et Mickey 17your ingame experience will not give you a minute of respite.
