A NUMBER of channel changes are happening in December – but fear not, there are no major closures.
Sky has just revealed what to expect on the TV guide next week and it affects Virgin viewers too.
The broadcaster regularly shakes-up its channel brands to keep things fresh and current.
And there’s a big one lined-up for Sky Sports fans too.
Firstly, on Monday (December 1), Nick Jr Peppa, Sky Cinema Spider-Man and Sky Cinema Greats are going.
But these are only temporary and replaced with Nick Jr. Too, Sky Cinema Exclusives and Sky Cinema Favourites respectively.

There are two more noteworthy differences on Monday too but for Sky satellite only.
HSTV 3 is closing in the ROI and becoming Shop Unlimited in the UK.
Another for the viewers in Ireland is LEGEND ROI launching on 148, replacing the UK service.
Later in the week on Wednesday (December 3) Gems TV HD will disappear.
The channel is being rebranded to Gemporia HD permanently.
Then on Saturday (December 6) there are a couple more Sky Cinema temporary switch ups.
The dedicated Harry Potter channel will return, taking the place of Sky Family.
And Sky Cinema BTTF will take over Sky Sci-Fi & Horror.
Sky announces refreshes to the TV guide weekly, so expect more for December soon.
But one we do know will happen a bit later in the month is to Sky Sports F1.
The channel will once again disappear to make way for Sky Sports Darts.
This is so the World Darts Championship can be shown from December 11.
DON’T FORGET YOUR SKY FREEBIES
Sky regularly dishes out a number of freebies as an extra perk for customers.
At the moment, the company is doing weekly giveaways of food from Sainsbury’s.
We’ve already seen pizzas and ice creams to redeem so keep a look out for more on Sky VIP.
There are also free cinema preview tickets for the latest releases, as well as discounts for days out such as theme parks.
And if you subscribe to Sky Cinema, don’t forget you get two free tickets for Vue every month.
