The Parliament of the Balearic Islands has trusted Abast to modernize its technological infrastructure, overcoming challenges related to service continuity, management of critical workloads and resilience. The project, based on technology from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Aruba Networking, has transformed the Parliament’s systems, preparing them to face future challenges.
Following a public bidding process, Abast presented a comprehensive proposal based on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Aruba Networking technology. The solution covered the needs of the Parliament through:
- Next-generation servers: Five HPE ProLiant servers, designed to manage critical workloads with high performance and advanced security.
- Advanced networks: Implementation of Aruba switches to guarantee high speed, resilience and scalability.
- Optimized storage: Two HPE Alletra 6030 storage systems, which ensure constant data replication and business continuity.
- Intelligent management: AI-based tools such as HPE InfoSight and Aruba Central, which optimize infrastructure management and monitoring. This modular and scalable infrastructure allows workloads to be distributed efficiently between the two data centers, minimizing risks and maximizing performance.
The project was executed collaboratively, highlighting the Abast team’s commitment to applying best practices. Joan Mateu Prats i Coll, head of Systems at the Parliament, stated: «Abast’s technicians demonstrated their experience and always looked for the best way to do things, applying best practices even if this implied greater complexity. “We were very satisfied.”
With this success story, Abast reinforces its position as a benchmark in the technological transformation of public institutions.
