After the game was postponed last November, just minutes before Take Two Interactive’s investor call began, Rockstar fans and GTA were worried this evening. Indeed, the parent company of Rockstar Games, the developers of GTA聽6gave us an appointment at 10:30 p.m. for another call with investors, and we feared having more bad news. Fortunately, it was quite the opposite!

GTA 6 a physical launch, November 19, start of marketing this summer

During the telephone meeting, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take Two Interactive once again confirmed the release of GTA 6 on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. He said he was very confident about this. In an interview with IGN, a journalist pointed out to him that a year ago, in February 2025, he held the same words on a release at the end of 2025 of GTA 6. In the meantime, we had the right with two reports. The journalist asked Zelnick if, this time, he was really sure of himself.

The CEO of Take Two claimed to be very sure, given that Rockstar Games planned to launch the game’s marketing campaign this summer:

鈥淎s soon as we get closer to the challenges of marketing, we are inevitably in a situation where the level of confidence is at its maximum. 禄

In an interview this time with Variety, Strauss Zelnick returned to a recent rumor. According to a rather reliable media outlet, GTA 6 could be launched in two stages, with a digital only version, then a physical version later. Strauss Zelnick completely denied this rumorconfirming that this was not in Rockstar’s plan.

More than ever, Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive therefore seem confident for an exit from GTA 6 November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Let us still take these comments with a little caution, since we are never safe from catastrophe. Note also that the launch of the marketing campaign is not linked to the promotional campaign. A trailer 3 and new images of GTA 6 could arrive before this summer.

Also clarify that the launch of the marketing campaign (and therefore, undoubtedly the pre-orders of the game) does not mean that the game will not be delayed. In 2012 with GTA聽5Rockstar launched pre-orders and the game’s marketing campaign, then postponed its title for four months afterwards.
