The Righteous Gemstones, the HBO original series about a world-famous (and quite dysfunctional) televangelist family, is nearly done with its fourth and final season. Simply put: The end of the Gemstone saga is at hand.

Every season, the series has delved deep into the world of megachurches and explored the bizarre world underneath the veneer. In the process, the show looks at the Gemstone family’s troubled past and present conflicts. Greed, lies and murder only begin to cover it with this group.

During the press conference for the new episodes, Danny McBride (who created the series and is also a writer, executive producer and the program’s star) discussed the recurring ideas in Season 4.

“When I started writing the season, I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish the show or not, but I started to notice getting these ideas,” he said. “So many themes and storylines were about inclusion and about moving forward, about moving on, that it, really, to me, creatively, became apparent that that was the story that we’re telling.”

McBride continued: “The story is about a lot of things, but the track of the arc that I sort of followed through all four (seasons) is really about grief. It’s about losing people and turning to family and figuring out what’s next.”

Starring alongside McBride are Adam Devine, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tim Baltz, Tony Cavalero, Greg Alan Williams, Skyler Gisondo, Walton Goggins, Jennifer Nettles, Megan Mullally and Seann William Scott, among many others. Bradley Cooper guest-starred in the first episode of the new season.

How to watch The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 with a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with your favorite shows while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming. It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds, and can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins.

VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN usage to access region-specific content. If you’re considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform’s terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensuring you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN usage is crucial.
