The Righteous Gemstones, the HBO original series about a world-famous (and quite dysfunctional) televangelist family, is nearly back for its fourth season. It’s also the final season of the show, which means the end of the Gemstone saga is at hand.
In every season, the series has delved deep into the world of megachurches and explored the bizarre world underneath the veneer. In the process, the show has looked at the Gemstone family’s troubled past and its present conflicts. Greed, lies and murder only begin to cover it with this group.
During the press conference for the new episodes, Danny McBride (who created the series and is also a writer, executive producer and the program’s star) discussed the recurring ideas in season 4.
“When I started writing the season, I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish the show or not, but I started to notice getting these ideas,” he said. “So many themes and storylines were about inclusion and about moving forward, about moving on, that it, really, to me, creatively, became apparent that that was the story that we’re telling.”
McBride continued: “The story is about a lot of things, but the track of the arc that I sort of followed through all four (seasons) is really about grief. It’s about losing people and turning to family and figuring out what’s next.”
Starring alongside McBride are Adam Devine, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tim Baltz, Tony Cavalero, Greg Alan Williams, Skyler Gisondo, Walton Goggins, Jennifer Nettles, Megan Mullally and Seann William Scott, among many others.

How to watch The Righteous Gemstones season 4 with a VPN
Suppose you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with your favorite shows while away from home. In that case, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) can be invaluable to enhance your privacy and security while streaming. By encrypting your internet traffic, a VPN protects your online activities from prying eyes and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your connection speeds. This extra layer of security is especially beneficial when using public Wi-Fi networks, offering peace of mind as you protect your devices and sensitive logins from potential threats.
VPNs are legal in many parts of the world, including the United States and Canada, and they serve legitimate purposes, such as safeguarding your online privacy and security. However, it’s worth noting that some streaming services may impose restrictions on using VPNs to access region-specific content. Before you make use of a VPN for streaming, carefully review the platform’s terms of service to ensure that you remain within the guidelines.
If you decide to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensuring you’re connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access to content if they detect a VPN is being used, so you should verify that your streaming subscription allows the use of a VPN so you can enjoy uninterrupted viewing of your favorite shows and movies.
