If you’re looking for an affordable entryway into 4K streaming, a Roku device is one of the best ways to do it. Fortunately, ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Day sales event starting on October 7, you can get Roku’s brand-new streaming stick for its lowest price ever.

Currently on Amazon, you can score the Roku Streaming Stick Plus for $29, saving you $11 off its regular price of $40. This Roku stick in particular is capable of 4K HDR streaming, so if you have a 4K TV, you can take full advantage of its higher resolution without breaking the bank.

With a Roku Streaming Stick Plus, you can access thousands of apps on your TV, including The Roku Channel, the largest streaming platform in the US, which offers over 500 free live TV channels to watch. So if you’re looking to cut free from your cable subscription, this Roku streaming stick might be the key to helping you do it. You can check out this deal below.

This Roku deal comes at an interesting time for streaming sticks. Amazon recently announced a new member of its Fire TV Stick lineup, called the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, designed to be a more affordable 4K streaming stick compared to the Fire TV Stick 4K and the 4K Max. Amazon is selling the 4K Select stick for $40, which puts it at the exact same regular price as the Roku Streaming Stick Plus.

However, with this deal in effect, the Roku Streaming Stick Plus is available for $29, allowing you to save some money compared to Amazon’s offering, while still enjoying many of the same features. The main difference between the two is that the Roku stick runs on Roku OS, while the Fire TV Stick 4K Select runs on Amazon’s new operating system, called Vega OS.

If you have a 4K TV and want a more reliable way to access your favorite streaming services, such as Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and others, then the Roku Streaming Stick is worth considering. Additionally, if you have an older TV that can’t access streaming services, it can definitely help breathe new life into it. You can find the Roku Streaming Stick Plus on sale for a limited time on Amazon now.
