Antigravity is stepping into a new class of consumer drones with a model built for immersive 8K 360-degree capture.
Antigravity has officially launched the A1, a drone the company claims is the first all-in-one model capable of shooting full 8K 360-degree video.
The A1 pairs its dual-lens 8K system with a headset-first design that moves away from traditional dual-stick controls. Instead, pilots use Vision Goggles and a Grip controller that maps hand movements directly to flight paths.
Antigravity says the setup is intended to shorten the learning curve for newcomers while still offering FPV mode for experienced pilots.
At the centre of the A1 is a 1/1.28-inch dual-lens sensor capable of recording 8K30, 5.2K60 and 4K100 360-degree footage. Creators can reframe shots in post without worrying about gimbal direction or missed angles, thanks to what Antigravity calls a “fly first, frame later” workflow. FlowState stabilisation helps smooth footage in suboptimal conditions.
The drone weighs 249g, fitting under sub-250g regulations in many markets, and supports up to 24 minutes of standard flight time or 39 minutes with an optional extended battery. A retractable landing gear system protects the lower lens and enables unobstructed “invisible drone” footage.
Autonomous flight tools and creative modes
The A1 introduces a new Sky Path system that lets pilots design and automate flight routes. Once set, the drone can fly the route autonomously, freeing creators to focus on framing or letting others view the journey through the Vision Goggles. Repeatable routes can also be used for transitions and time-based comparisons.
Additional creative tools include Sky Genie for one-tap cinematic manoeuvres, Deep Track subject tracking and a Virtual Cockpit overlay that places the drone in themed flight environments. Antigravity plans to add more skins in future updates.
The drone is also designed with replaceable lenses and propellers and includes a payload-detection safeguard to prevent improper modifications. It pairs with the Antigravity mobile app and desktop software for reframing, colour correction, and quick social-ready edits.
The A1 is available now in Standard ($1,599), Explorer ($1,899) and Infinity ($1,999) bundles.
