Microsoft is determined to improve the PC gaming experience and has just updated the Xbox application allowing access to even more PC games, even for titles that are not present on PC Game Pass.
An Xbox application more complete than ever
These are now a hundred additional games that appear in the Xbox app following a recent updateas Microsoft seeks to make even more PC games accessible to its ecosystem.
In total, there are more than 400 new games that arrive on the application, including titles from Japanese studios like Kemco and Kairosoft. Among the 400 games, around a hundred are compatible with the Xbox Play Anywhere functionality. Therefore, if you purchase the Xbox console version, you can also play the Xbox PC version at no additional cost.
Thanks to this new update, several bugs were resolved (because the application was far from perfect at this level). We also have the right to other improvements such as the ability to find Xbox Play Anywhere games which are available in the Microsoft Store.
More than ever, Microsoft is determined to improve and highlight its ecosystem and cross play between Xbox and PC, as Chris Charla, general manager of content curation and programs at Xbox, confirms: “Earlier this summer, we began working with partners to integrate all PC games with Xbox features into the Xbox app. We are very excited to see which Xbox games will soon be available on Windows PC from game creators and to welcome nearly 400 titles that were previously neither discoverable nor purchasable in the Xbox app (…) The universal property of the Xbox, as well as universal cloud saves on Xbox and cross-play between Xbox versions on console and PC (and other platforms, at the developer’s discretion) are awesome features that gamers love..
Microsoft’s priority objective will be to develop your application and Windows store. Recently, the American giant has done everything to attract more and more publishers even reducing its share from 30% to only 12% to try to shake up the PC gaming market. Despite this, many games that offer Xbox-PC cross play are not yet available on the Microsoft Store or on Game Pass.
