A real good news for all those who live every day with diabetes and the painful constraint of regular blood controls. But beware: behind this attractive promise hides a real danger, now warn the French authorities.

The National Medicines Safety Agency (ANSM) and the repression of fraud (DGCCRF) have just sounded the alarm. The verdict is clear: these so -called “non -invasive” devices simply do not work. Worse still, They often provide completely false results, directly endangering diabetic users.

Concretely, poor measure can have heavy consequences: ignoring hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia due to incorrect reading can lead to serious discomfort, even emergency hospitalizations. These connected gadgets, however sold as miracle solutions, therefore expose their users to serious health risks.

And as if it were not worrying enough, some brands go so far as to fraudulently use the logos of recognized organizations such as the ANSM or the French Federation of Diabetics (FFD) to strengthen their credibility with consumers. A voluntary deception which even more alarms the health authorities.

What to do if we have already been tempted?

The recommendation is clear: immediately stop using these devices to measure blood sugar, ask for a refund from the seller as quickly as possible, and above all consult your doctor to resume serious and reliable follow -up. Among these devices, we find, for example, the SHERUM SHURUM SUPERPRO 2.0 watch, sold under the Smart BAND brand and which is the subject of a recall.

For the moment, the only validated measurement methods remain those which require a drop of blood taken from the finger or the recognized and certified subcutaneous sensors. The rest, according to the health authorities, is only risky marketing that plays dangerously with user health.

Faced with this attractive but misleading technology, it is better to remain cautious and trust only medically proven devices. Because in this specific case, the apparent simplicity could unfortunately cost very much.
