There’s no end of deals on last year’s MacBook Air, but if you want to be truly futureproof then this is the offer to bag right now.

By now, you’re more than aware that Apple refreshes its Air range of laptops each year, adding slightly upgraded internals to the mix. Given that these devices arguably offer the best price-to-performance ratio out of the entire Apple range, they are well worth considering during sale events such as the back to school sales.

On that note, the 2025 Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with an M4 chip has 20% off right now. It’s been reduced to $799 from $999, with 16GB of memory, a 256GB SDD in silver or midnight colours.

With 16GB of unified memory, 256GB of SSD storage and that speedy M4 chipset all working together, you won’t have to worry about things loading slowly or feeling bogged down with multiple apps open on the display.

Speaking of displays, Apple has once again improved the Liquid Retina tech in the MacBook Air, with its 13.6-inch screen now offering up even clearer and more vibrant colours than ever before, making it perfect for watching the latest shows and films during downtime.

When it comes to video calls, you’ve got a 12MP Centre Stage camera which always keeps you in focus, while Touch ID lets you quickly and securely log into your files and apps when you need to get work done.

There’s a lot to love about the 2025 MacBook Air, including the fact that its price point is now more affordable than the 2024 version at launch, and right now you can get a further $200 off, letting you pocket a slick 20% saving.

Apple has found its groove with the MacBook Air, and this M4 version tweaks things ever so slightly once again. While not a groundbreaking update, there are a few changes here that make this a fantastic laptop that I can easily recommend. Apple’s laptop line-up feels as concise as it has been in a
