TL;DR

  • Narwal has launched the Flow 2 Ultra, a new robot vacuum cleaner that can not only detect and differentiate between objects in real-time, but also find your pets.
  • It features “unlimited object recognition,” powered by a new AI foundation model (NarGPT) and dual RGB cameras.
  • It also comes with specialized modes for households with babies.

Narwal is using CES 2026 to show how far robot vacuum cleaners have come. The company has announced the Narwal Flow 2 Ultra, a successor to the Narwal Flow we reviewed last year. While the original Flow already impressed us with its precise navigation, self-cleaning base station, and more, the Flow 2 pushes innovation even further by doing something robot vacuums traditionally struggle with: understanding what they’re looking at, not just avoiding it.

The Flow 2 Ultra features what Narwal calls “unlimited object recognition,” powered by a new AI foundation model (NarGPT) and dual RGB cameras. Instead of relying on a fixed list of recognizable obstacles, the robot vacuum is designed to continuously identify and react to new objects in real time.

Object recognition on robot vacuums isn’t really new, but Narwal is taking things to the next level by allowing the Flow 2 Ultra to adjust its response based on what it’s looking at. For instance, Narwal claims the vacuum cleans within 1cm of cables and table legs to maximize coverage, while deliberately keeping its distance from high-risk hazards like pet feces to avoid spreading messes around your home.

A robot vacuum that can literally find your pet

Perhaps the most standout feature of the Flow 2 Ultra is its ability to find your pets. Using its cameras, the Flow 2 Ultra can scan your home on command to locate your pet and show you where they are remotely. Moreover, it can also automatically detect pet-active zones for deeper cleaning and features a “smart pet companion mode” that lets you video-call your pets through the robot and even interact with them using playful voice packs.

Beyond pets, the Flow 2 Ultra also features specialized modes for households with babies. The robot can automatically switch to ultra-quiet cleaning near a crib, recognize toys and send reminders when they’re left around, and avoid crawling mats to keep play areas hygienic.

There’s also a Smart Valuables Guard, which sends alerts when the robot detects important items in the vicinity.

There are no details available about the price and availability of the Narwal Flow 2 Ultra just yet. The Flow came in at around $1,499, and we’re expecting the Flow 2 Ultra to cost around the same or maybe a bit more, thanks to its upgrades.
